Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

Are you keeping track of who goes in and out of this room too?

Not as closely as that.

[But who's been spending a lot of time in here? Yeah, sure.]

I've been trying not to spend too much time in here myself.

I don't see the point, personally.

[ He actually hasn't really been in this room much besides the announcement. Notably, he's also not looking in the direction of the glass at all. ]

I like to check on her.

[He doesn't indicate who he's talking about.]

At least once a day. But sitting in here for hours...yeah, you're probably right. [And he hasn't been doing that either, for the most part. Maybe an hour at most.] I understand why people do it, I think. I just don't think it helps.

It helps, but with his agenda, not ours.

Yeah, probably. It just leaves you in a bad place. Being out there worrying about it isn't much better, but...

[He looks up, his eyes finding Peregrine in the crowd. She's just sitting on the floor. Pretty much everyone there is - there's nothing else to do. Makes you realize that their group has it pretty easy, with an entire hotel to move around in.]

It's worse to see them in there like that. Like some kind of zoo exhibit.

It might not only be them, someone could be watching all of us too. A game within a game, is one kind of entertainment.

[Like, he's not debating the possibility, just like. Dude.]

Sorry, I'm the kind of person who takes into account all the possibilities.

I mean, it does make sense. It just seems very Hunger Games.

Hunger games... that's like battle royale, isn't it?

Yeah. That sort of genre's been really popular lately. Never got that into it myself...

[Which was more to do with having been rather too old for that YA craze than any particular feelings about it, but he's sort of glad for it now?]

And we aren't even getting any sort of real prize from this if it is...what a pity.

[ This is probably not the reaction he should have, but sometimes you are a businessman through and through. ]

No, our reward is just getting out of here. Probably won't even cover us for whatever we missed back home.

I doubt he could afford it.
