Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

Regardless, it may be for the best to keep the lessons up, if you are able. Very few people are able to go from completely unpracticed to competent in one lesson, after all.

Well... suuuure, but I really dunno that I'm the right fit for the job. Usually, when I help people train in this stuff, I just kinda let 'em try to hit me and show 'em what they're doing wrong.

Hm… that is not a terrible training method, though it could be worth it to ask and see if there are more people skilled in unarmed combat who can assist. I know we already did so, but it cannot hurt to try again.

Yeah, that'd be good. I could let them try to hit me and tell the others what they're doing wrong.

I am not certain how well that would work for everyone, necessarily... people do learn in different ways, after all. If there were weapons, I would have an easier time, but...

I wouldn't want you to come at me with a live weapon, since accidents happen, but practice blades would be okay. I've done that before.

Oh, of course I would not attempt to fight you with an actual weapon. Some sort of practice blade would be helpful... but I am not quite certain what would be the best to use.

Yeah, we don't have much here. What're you used to using?

My preferred weapon is a gunblade, though I am fairly used to other sorts of projectiles as well.

[SWORD… GUN… SWORDGUN!]

Projectiles... Too bad we can't easily improvise a bow. What about throwing spears? Knives?

I may be able to do something with a knife in close quarters, but I have not made much of a practice of throwing them.

They're not all made for it, anyway. Not always a good idea to try if the balance isn't right.

[For example, vending machine letter openers are totes not made for throwing. Don't try that at home, kids!]

Too bad the stuff machine doesn't seem to hand out any learner's weapons.
