Fourth Trial

[ After the evidence (and what a large batch of evidence it is, this time) has been gathered up, after actually patiently waiting a longer time than usual to make sure everything's been grabbed, the speakers over New Rapture crackle to life. ]

Time's up, everyone. You know where to go.

[ The lower number of bathyspheres, as you descend, is starting to become really notable, isn't it? The descent is the same as ever, lower and lower into the sea. The bioluminescence of those slugs on the ocean floor is almost brighter today, somehow, and some of them have even crawled up the cliff face around you as you pass them.

The dome approaches, slowly as ever, gleaming red in the darkness. The bathyspheres land in a row, doors opening one by one to reveal the familiar sight of the trial room, three more podiums now darkened. ]

Take your places, ladies and gentlemen. You've got a doozy of a situation to discuss. Ass Man and Silver Fox are dead. You know what happens if you can't figure out whodunnit.

[ Welcome to your fourth trial. ]

Well yeah, but you could've met up with him all friendly-like! He could've seen you in Mercury Mile or heard whatever explosion happened go off in the parlor.

Undertaker and I were friends, but surely if he had been hit in the head with a fire extinguisher in a trap hard enough for his skull to crack, he would have left.

There must have been a reason for him to want to stay -- and even more, for him to go further into the ice cream parlor.

So, he was hit in the head with a trap I set, hypothetically, and I lured him in by showing myself, hypothetically. An explosion happened, hypothetically.

However that explosion didn't kill him. What would an explosion do to him?

It would, uh, make it... hard to see?

An explosion does more than just scorch. It draws oxygen into itself, it scorches the surroundings, and then it releases energy.

Enough energy, propelling objects and anything in its surroundings. If he was in the area of the explosion, he would be launched back to a specific area.

[It's as if Aiba wants Nandor to fill the blanks as to where Undertaker would be thrown at]

Well, you could've acted like you were in distress? Also not many people are gonna take a skull crack to the head that well- if it hits you in the back, you stumble forward.

...Did you lock him in with the chair?

Is there any proof on that chair of when he was "locked in"?

Were you in there the whole time? When we were investigating?

...fact: I arrived to Dandy's scene fifteen minutes after he was discovered.

[In other words, not the whole time, but...she sure could have been there for a whiiiile, waiting for the right chance to escape]
