Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

Another week at the bottom of the sea. You may start to mark the passage of time by the increasing number of people you seem to be bleeding each week - look how few of you there are now. Nearly half your number gone, and for what? The shadowy machinations of some madman? You've met some others, but they seem unable or unwilling to solve this problem for you. Time marches onwards.

In the abyss, New Rapture starts to wake. It's small things, for now - the lights of a building here and there, the flicker of a neon sign for some small business. The restoration of this city continues.

Speaking of this city, there's a new branch of your little slice of it to explore. It's certainly the most picturesque of the branches you've seen.

There's more to see and do, citizens of New Rapture. And hey, there's coins to get, too.

I suppose it is a boon that Brett ended up with the penguin, then, as you already have quite the menagerie to deal with.

[He sounds very faintly amused, much like lacroix tastes very faintly like fruit.]

I presume they are enjoying themselves?

[Rain trots up to Sans, doughnut toy in his mouth, which Sans delicately takes and adds to the teetering pile of toys already in his arms. Piglet trots up soon after, repeating the process.]

They're all getting along so I assume so. [She calls out to Piglet.] Hey, don't forget to pick one out for Leafeon!

[Can't bring back toys without bringing back toys for everyone, after all.]

Well, I am glad they are being orderly for you. It seems like they have not been causing any major issues thus far, at least.

Rain's been getting kind of antsy lately and he's scratched me up some, but I don't really blame him. We're all kinda getting cabin fever.

[Which doesn't really bode well for the week, but. Oh well!]

Well, we do have plenty of space now. I imagine even if it is not the outdoors, he would be fairly pleased with having more space to wander around. Though, I am by no means an expert on cats…

True. Maybe I should get him one of those leashes and then I can let him run around in the field out there? I don't really want him doing it unsupervised.

[She does not have the same qualms about Piglet and it's just because Piglet only cares about food and would not explore and get into Trouble™ the same way as Rain.]

I was not aware that cats tolerated leashes, but if they do, it seems worth attempting. While there are no wild animals that may attack him, you are right that it could be unexpectedly dangerous for him to get into something dangerous...

They don't all tolerate leashes, but if I explain it's the only way he can go out an explore, he might get over it...

[For the record, Joy cannot actually talk to animals. She just thinks it's funny to act like she can.]

I do hope you can get through to him. I have never owned a cat personally, though I am given the impression they tend to be contrarians.

They can be. Rain mostly seems to just be cuddly because he's a good boy.

Oh, buddy... Here: put them in the basket.

[Did. Did she just upturn one of the display boxes to hand to Sans? Yes. Yes, she did. It's ok. Sans is now gathering up all the toys and putting them in the box.]
