Week 6
Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.
Another week at the bottom of the sea. You may start to mark the passage of time by the increasing number of people you seem to be bleeding each week - look how few of you there are now. Nearly half your number gone, and for what? The shadowy machinations of some madman? You've met some others, but they seem unable or unwilling to solve this problem for you. Time marches onwards.
In the abyss, New Rapture starts to wake. It's small things, for now - the lights of a building here and there, the flicker of a neon sign for some small business. The restoration of this city continues.
Speaking of this city, there's a new branch of your little slice of it to explore. It's certainly the most picturesque of the branches you've seen.
There's more to see and do, citizens of New Rapture. And hey, there's coins to get, too.

SUNDAY
???
Remember that window in Fontaine's apartment? There's a whole host of large cracks, spiderwebbing across it. It must have been hit by a firework or seven, you can see the point of impact.
If you want a way in for some mischief, or to look around? This is your shot. Take some time to plan, if you like, then head in for a little investigation! ]

[ Mielle cautiously leans over to peer in, peeking past the cracks to see if there's anybody inside she can spot. ]

...The fireworks must have taken care of that.

Oh, Seo did a number on Fontaine's room, didn't he? I'm surprised it's in such a state with how fast he normally is at fixing this place.

There's no one visible inside - There's some muffled music playing that you can't quite make out, wait is that a guy - no, it's just a tacky portrait of Frank Fontaine. Don't mind him.
In the back room, the back of Fontaine's chair is still visible, with light playing around it, as if from screens. ]

So. You broke into the old man's tomb, huh? Wondered when one of you would try. Surprise, surprise.

I was getting so tired of doing the fucking accent.
[ It's hard to tell through the distortion, but this voice is female, American-accented, and cold. ]
Enjoy puttering around the corpse. Help yourself to anything in there, but I'm not getting rid of the smell.

investigation!
...
Sure. Okay. There's an aquarium under the fucking ocean. Of course. He's going to walk through and just kind of like... shaking his head at everything that exists under the fucking sea. Though maybe he'll try and see if there's anything he recognizes? Or anything that anyone else recognizes. He'll be fine, he can handle Animals if he needs to investigate. ...he is actually genuinely pretty charmed by Gary though, he's going to hang out and watch the smiley little lad for a morale boost.
The nature preserve is, at least,... nice? They're nice. It almost feels like he's actually outdoors, and he might... add a nice little jog to his routine. Not today, though. He's had enough excitement for one day. And yesterday. Well. Friday. He heads back to his room and changes into something a little more comfortable like, say, the damn margaritaville shark hawaiian shirt and some lighter pants, gets a book about weird fucked up historical weapons that made no sense, and just kind of sits by the lake to read.
At the end of the day, he's going to go ahead and try his luck with vending-chan. He gets... some interesting items, and the mood returns to bafflement. What... does he do with any of these...????]

[Hi, Gaius, hope you don't mind some company. Rossiu looks done already, but then again, who wouldn't after this display?? Why is there an aquarium when we're already underwater and can see all the fish we want if we just look outside.]

INVESTIGATION
After...all of that, Brett returns to sit in the garden. He's beneath a tree, knees drawn up to his chest, sort of watching Blake Bortles swim around in the pool and sort of just...staring blankly into space. It has been one day since four people died and today has already been so much!
He's humming slightly, under his breath:]
To live is to feel every ache that you feel...
[Eventually, he rallies. Picking himself up, he wanders off to check out the new areas.
The aquarium is obviously interesting. Not so much for the living fish; he normally likes aquariums, but after being here for so long, it's sort of lost its appeal? But he figures someone must be feeding these guys something, and after a bit of digging...yes! A big freezer full of some kind of raw dead fish!]
I would've thought this was gross before.
[His personal metric for what's gross and what's bearable is shifting a bit lately for some mysterious reason? He tosses Blake a fish.
Later in the evening, he goes out without Blake. He'll just be laying on the ground in the arboretum, staring up at the tree branches. It's all wrong: fruit trees, a temperate environment. Unfocus his eyes a little, though, and it could almost be like home. Like the woods.
After a while, he'll get up and walk through the trees for a little while - investigating, sort of. How cultivated is it in here, still?]

There's also what looks like stables in the corner, but tragically... no horses. Closest thing is the cows out in the fields. Scorch marks around one of the stables are weird, though! ]
