WEEK 5
That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.
Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.
And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.
Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Week 5! Remember to turn in AC here, threads for regain coins here, and if you feel so inclined you can visit Angel's office hours over here! Or, if you want Angel to come to you, that's now an option! Simply put a prompt after lights-out into your toplevel and indicate you want Angel in the subject line, same as investigations! ]

investigation!!
burning down the whole domegoing to cry. There are trees! And herbs! And poisonous plants! And water she can stick her toes in!A solid chunk of the day has her pawing through the herb garden and examining poisonous plants. With the herb garden she has the herbal first aid kit with her, carefully plucking the ones she knows for a fact are safe and useful. As for the poisonous plants she's...taking a few more precautions. She has thick gloves from the workshop to protect her hands, a few sheets of paper and a pen she borrowed from Mira and a whole bunch of notes to take. Even most deadly plants can have medicinal uses- but like hell she's putting them in her kit. Get close enough and you might hear her singing quietly to herself as she works.
You might even find her sprawled out on the grass by the pond while the bird song recording plays. Her cloak is bunched up under her head for a makeshift pillow and her arms and legs stretched out in all directions. There's a book lying open on her chest and a half-finished flower crown next to her so she's definitely just resting her eyes and absolutely not about to take an ill-advised nap where she shouldn't.
With a whole day to kill among the only real greenery she's seen in weeks, of course she's going to be doing some investigating. Mostly she's checking out the trees for anything unusual about them and the pond.]

Wake up, will you, the last thing they'll want is for you to get killed over sleeping.

I appreciate the thought and your willingness to not let me be killed for breaking one of his stupid rules. Would you like to sit with me for a while? [Pat pat pat the grass.]

plucking!
[ She doesn't mean to eavesdrop, but the garden has been her haunt of choice, too, and she's glad to have company. So the sound of soft singing certainly grabbed her attention, until... ]
Hang on, that ending is way too sad--

Good morning, Ema! Sorry, if I'd known anyone was listening I would've picked a less tragic song.

[ A bit of the names and terms were lost on her, but the meaning came through, all the same! ]

[ She doesn't seem all that heartbroken, from the way she's smiling over the fence-- ]
Are the people in the song important to them, then?

If you throw a rock in Thedas you'll probably hit an an Andrastian. Then they'll explain to you the goodness and light and mercy of their Lady Andraste, Bride of the Maker. Then ask you why you threw a rock at them. [There's an awful lot of eye-rolling involved here.]

[ Definitely a bit of a nuisance for everyone involved... ]
Not much we can really do about them, but it's definitely a pain when they come by bright and early on a Sunday morning, when you're just looking to sleep in a little.

They do have lovely songs and even lovelier lay brothers though.

Oh! I brought you something! [Let her...I don't know where she's keeping this, her hair again? Anyway, she produces a a crocheted bird!] Since you liked Stripes so much!

Rose! This looks so good! [She takes the bird gingerly and hugs it to her chest.] You made it yourself?
