FOURTH TRIAL

Alright, that's quite enough time. Move along towards the trial, if you would all be so kind. You know what's coming.

[ It's routine by now - go to the vault door, get let into the elevator by Angel, head down to the trial room... it's hard not to notice the losses on the ride down by now, though. Your numbers are starting to really dwindle, even if you're often spread out enough not to notice as much normally. The trial room and its podiums, too, seem more than ready and willing to remind you of the same. The red glow of the empty spaces is constant, potentially unnerving. ]

Remember that as there are two victims to consider, up to two votes may be counted at the end of proceedings. As always, I am but a direct address away, however rude you choose to make it.

Find the party or parties responsible for the deaths of your comrades. And to those parties: Good luck.

[ The screens rise!

Welcome to your fourth trial. ]

I've seen that before. They use them in map-making. Or they do where I'm from, anyway.
emberserker: Manic smile. (can you not)

Then why on earth would that kind of thing be dumped with the weapons?

...Was there...blood in that fish tank? Any that you could tell? If there was blood on all the things that were hidden there...
bolderfell: Cool. Not my problem. <user name="nappotuna" site="tumblr.com"> (NOTICE 🗡️ Any trouble?)

[personal profile] bolderfell 2020-05-09 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
...You think it was used as a weapon?
nothingcanstop: ("girls shouldn't be in the cockpit")

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-09 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I think if I was trying to fight back against an attacker, I'd use whatever I had.
bolderfell: No helping it. <user name="hashagi" site="tumblr.com"> (WELL 🗡️ Guess so.)

[After a pause, he nods.]

Who had one of these, though? It's not mine.

It would make sense for it to be in the cartography room. As... Tohsaka said, it likely was not a murder weapon but it is very sharp.

Ema might have been able to use it to defend herself. It would not have been a very useful weapon but if you are pressed for it.... Perhaps we should look for wounds?

Even a quick jab could get someone to release you, if you're being restrained.

The easiest place to check for a wound like that may be someone's hands or arms if she had a chance at reaching over to stab from behind.
nothingcanstop: (i feel i know them oh so well)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-09 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure... But. [ She glances to Nira. ] But it's a map-making tool, right? Cartography's the perfect place to find something like that.

Yeah, makes sense. Didn't see anything like that when I was looking through the room, so it probably came from there.

[And no one's spoken up so far about realizing something's missing from the case anyways.]
emberserker: Serious dismissal. (x number of bad ideas later)

[personal profile] emberserker 2020-05-09 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Not that I could see. Either they washed them off in the shark tank or the traces of blood were just filtered out overnight.
nothingcanstop: (but i was too young)

[personal profile] nothingcanstop 2020-05-09 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Dang... I still think there's something tying them all together, but that's a little harder to prove.
