WEEK 1
Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...
The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Peace Week! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, office hours for The Professor's Assistant are over here if you're interested, while regains can be deposited over here! ]

Well, they're real. You're just seeing a facsimile of them.
no subject
So, like a painting of something. They're not there, but they're somewhere.

[Alice eyes him curiously.]
What kind of place do you come from?
no subject
Well, it doesn't hurt to answer something this general.]
It's called Orsterra. Closest things we have to putting lightning in a music box are thunder spells.
no subject
Okay, so magic is real where you're from. That must be kind of neat, right?
no subject
Are you from this world, then? The one without magic?
no subject
[She glances around for a moment, and then shrugs.]
As far as I can tell. This world seems like it's a little bit more advanced, though, tech-wise.

[He's in over his head figuratively AND literally, here in their lovely abode at the bottom of the ocean.]
...Wonder if it's behind someone else's.

[Memorable, isn't she?]
no subject
Well, I'll have to bug her for a few answers next time I run into her.
[and then she realizes—]
Sorry, I completely forgot. I'm Alice.
no subject
[Even in this situation, he's reluctant to introduce himself. Ah, well.]
You know they've written little notes about each of us. On those devices.
no subject
I've been a little too preoccupied to memorize all twenty-four of you, sorry.
no subject
At least you know about it.
no subject
[wink!]
no subject
So you're not from so far behind that most things here are strange to you. Hmm... would you say that's true for most of the people here?

In the time some of us have to take to learn about glass squares and key-cards, others can do anything else they want. Still looks like a disadvantage to me.
