WEEK 1

Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to Peace Week! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, office hours for The Professor's Assistant are over here if you're interested, while regains can be deposited over here! ]

[Hey, Ema. Aela doesn't actually seem bothered by being flagged down or by the words at all, but she quirks an eyebrow anyway.]

"Scientifically speaking"? Science is hardly needed to prove that camaraderie makes sharing a meal together more enjoyable.

Ah, that's a fair point, too! I don't think there's any actual science behind that one, but it is true that meals tend to taste better when you share them with people.

[ Maybe she's being too roundabout here? ]

In any case, I'd love for you to join me, if you're hungry. I haven't eaten since yesterday, myself...

Of course. It isn't wise to make a habit of skipping meals, though.

[But that's all she has to say about that, so off we go!!]

I'll do my best with it. I'm a bit removed from my usual schedule, so adjusting to actually having time for breakfast is a transition for me. I'm used to just having coffee in the morning...

[ And honestly, she takes it with enough milk and sugar that it's probably a meal all on its own. ]

Have you experimented at all with what they're offering in here yet? I kept it pretty simple yesterday...

[ Her appetite was a little...well, she's sure she'll understand. ]

No, I haven't. I have been curious to see exactly how far they're willing to go for us, but I thought it best not to irritate them too badly.

[It's probably not their fault they're stuck working murdergame shift!! And also they control the food and Aela would prefer to not be poisoned.]

I guess that's fair. I kind of wish there was some way we were able to tip them? I mean, I'm sure they understand that it isn't as though we have any money to spare in a situation like this, but as long as they're making meals for us, we should be able to compensate them somehow...

[ Hopefully they're getting a decent wage? ]

I'm sure if we show our appreciation somehow, they won't be too mad if we ask for something a little decadent. Meals are a pretty easy pick-me-up when you need a boost, and exciting ones even moreso, right?

[ It's clear she has no concern whatsoever with poison. In fairness, it would defeat the point of the exercise, wouldn't it? ]

C'mon, let's get your favorites!

With any luck, their situation isn't anything like ours.

[Kidnapped and forced to work in a kitchen for the murdergame participants..............]

Agreed. What do you plan on asking for?

Probably something sweet! After all, your brain needs glucose to function properly, and in a situation like this, that's going to prove more than valuable. Of course, it all needs to be in moderation...

[ Now it sounds like she's making excuses... ]

Even if it's not dessert time, there's nothing wrong with a bit of a stimulant!

[...some of that definitely went over her head, but sure!!]

Let's see if they're willing to provide, shall we?
