WEEK 1

Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

I would appreciate more variety, even if romance isn't my preferred genre.

[Aela's also in here looking at books; she's looking particularly unimpressed with how many books about murder there are.]

I wonder if the Professor's assistant would be willing to obtain something else for us.

We could try asking. She doesn't seem malicious, I'm sure she'll be more understanding.

I've been wondering about that. She certainly does seem more approachable than the Professor. Perhaps she'll be willing to share more information about him and this place as well.

I'm going to talk to her later. With some luck I'll be able to convince her to not work for dubious doctors and change careers.

[She searches through the books]

...I even planned to give her a book to break the ice, but giving someone a book about death has to count as a threat somehow, like when you find a horse head on your pillow. Just that instead you're giving the horse head in person.

[Writing Shelley sometimes is like getting rid of the filter that makes sentences not be weird, seriously]

[i love shelley so much.]

...I can't say I've heard of that one before, but I suppose I can follow the logic. Killing the horse is a threat to the owner, correct?

[Not a very good one in her opinion, but that's because Aela is much more direct and wouldn't bother with a warning in the first place.]

Exactly, that must be the logic. I think. Sometimes they just give horse heads to people who don't even own horses and that doesn't make much sense. Also, carrying it has to be cumbersome.

[Shelley tuts]

It ranks higher in the threat scale than a strongly-worded letter, I guess.

...The threat loses all meaning if it isn't their horse. I suppose the brutality and gruesomeness does send a message, but isn't the point to horrify the horse's owner? Seems horrible to do that to someone else's horse.

[this is the weirdest conversation.]

[Weirdest conversation...so far]

The people who do that don't care about how horrible it is! It's an outrage!

[And nobody thinks of the poor horses]

A pointless loss of life. The horses and their owners don't deserve such a thing.

[i'm crying nick this is the dumbest thing and i cannot wait to see how much dumber things get in the future]

There have to be better ways to threaten deth on someone without harming in'cent bystanders! But I can't think of anything. I guess I don't have it in me to threaten anyone.

We don't bother with such roundabout methods. Should someone call on the Companions to threaten someone, we simply punch them until they submit.

[sometimes you gotta go punch nazeem, it's for the good of whiterun.]
