Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

[ Vincent was squirreled away in here, preparing to keep to himself in this area for awhile with a good book, and then he heard her question. ]

...No. I'm assuming that they're just as unfamiliar to you.

I don't recognize any of these. I thought I might find something familiar here, but it seems I was mistaken.

[ Very comfortable. He's not moving any time soon, at any rate. ]

Hm, even so...it was good that you attempted to see if you did. Just because That Professor claimed none of us would recognize him doesn't mean that would hold true of what's in our surroundings.

Precisely. It's possible there is something we'll recognize here, which could prove useful. At this point, the most we can do is examine our surroundings and learn what we can about this place.

[valentinus]

...Yes.

I don't doubt doing so would help us manage to find an advantage in our situation.

Precisely. The Professor has the upper hand, but that doesn't mean that we should give up. There's only one of him and quite a few of us.

[She inclines her head a bit.]

Aela the Huntress. You're Vincent, correct?

[No comment about anything else on the profile for now, but she's definitely read them.]

[ He'll nod. ]

...I am, Aela.

[ He'd say 'nice to meet you', but he's not the type of person to do so. Acknowledging her introduction by saying her name will do just fine. ]

What did you think of that Assistant he has? Based on our first, brief glimpse of her.

She seems to be too cheerful, given this situation. I've spoken with her and she expressed sympathy; if her words are to be believed, she doesn't want any of us to die.

[There's a hard edge to Aela's voice that makes it clear that she thinks that's bullshit, but she continues anyway.]

She wouldn't tell me why she's working with the Professor, but she seems to be trying to come off as sympathetic. Someone we can trust.

[Despite. You know. Working for the Professor.]

Hm.

[ If...anything, Vincent had been irked that someone was willingly assisting the Professor. Someone could call him a hypocrite given how the Lucretia situation was, but she was not complicit in this type of scenario. ]

I hadn't a chance to speak with her on my own time. Though I imagine it's possible her own situation isn't ideal, such as the Professor using her or something to that effect, she is in his corner at this time. And we can trust her as much as we trust him.

If she expects to win anyone over easily, that will be a mistake.

[ Granted, he supposed that there...might be some people who would give in that easily, but he's not entertaining that on account of some Salt towards the situation that's affecting his judgment. ]

Agreed. While it would be a sound idea to turn her against him and use her knowledge to our advantage, I have no doubts that the Professor has already considered that possibility. We'll need to be careful with how we proceed.
