WEEK 1
Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...
The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Peace Week! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, office hours for The Professor's Assistant are over here if you're interested, while regains can be deposited over here! ]

... I see why you're in forensics. You're very observant. [ She pauses. ] It's been just my brother and me, for a very long time... so this is all new to me. [ She's very much not used to talking with so many people, at the very least. ] I think... I've gotten a good start here, at least. It might not be the most ideal circumstances, but...

[ The smile on her face is a soft one, at least. Like she said, she's been there. ]
And for the record, I think you're doing a pretty good job myself, especially for someone new to this. It probably helps that we're all just a bit out of our comfort zone...even putting that aside, though, I would already consider you to be "good company." Or, what, do you think I just go around blabbing about my highly confidential secret snack pockets to everyone?

That's true. Or--I hope you wouldn't go revealing very secret snack pockets to everyone, if they're as good as you say they are. [ She returns the smile. ] And you know... it's kind of hard to argue with you at all. You're very convincing.

[ The admiration in her voice is practically visible. ]
But I'd like to think I make for a pretty okay listener, too. I mean, scientifically speaking, the human body has two ears and one mouth because listening is twice as important as talking is.
[ That also sounds like pseudo-science-- ]
So if you're struggling with any of this stuff, I'd be glad to hear you out, is what I'm saying.

[ She smiles... and then nods. Slowly, but it's still acknowledgment. ]
... I'm not really used to... talking about things I'm struggling with, but I'll keep it in mind. As long as you do the same. I might not be the best at advice, but... I'm very good at listening.

[ If that's not a thing, it certainly is now. ]
I may have to make good on that sometime, but for now, the big thing I'm struggling with is what I'm gonna wind up getting for lunch before getting back to it. Got any suggestions?

[ At Ema's question, though, she thinks for a moment. ]
Hmmm... it depends on what your preferences are. Though, it might be easier to ask what you don't like, in some cases.
