Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

[There's a roar with one of those punches before she hears Rin. Then she steps back, trying to calm herself. Right. She wasn't alone.]

Blasphemy--blasphemy can be punished in many ways, Miss Tohsaka. That aside, if nothing else this allows me to expend some energy.

Hey, I'm not knocking it. I'm here too, right? [ Even if her stress relief involves a little less blunt force. ] I was just surprised. Even putting aside the Archbishop thing, you don't look like the type to put your fists to work.

Yes... yes, of course. [She's taking a moment to calm down. She was just thrashing the daylights out of the punching bag, after all.] Usually you would be correct. Normally I would only use them in an emergency.

[mouflon]

Smart. Better chances of catching someone off-guard that way. [ A small laugh escapes Rin at that. ] Is that standard training for clergy in the Church of Seiros, or just a hobby of yours?

[ Tragically, this Rin knows nothing about Kirei's skillset, so she cannot make a joke about punch-clergy. ]

[She's not sure what to make of a compliment from a terrorist but.]

Thank you. There may have been a couple assassins who found out about that skill of mine too late. [The church has many enemies.] More of a hobby, yes. There are knights that are skilled in brawling but among the clergy themselves it is uncommon.

[ Even if Rhea doesn't draw attention to that fact, Rin definitely notices that the number of assassination attempts she has been on the receiving end of is more than one. ]

Fair enough. I guess it usually isn't part of the job description. [ and/or they're not important enough to need to know how to punch ]

[Most priests usually aren't the subject of multiple assassination attempts, either.]

Usually not. Most usually have no need of such protection.

Of course. Most aren't as important as an Archbishop.

Is it something about you, or is the position just that important?

It is very important, yes. The Church of Seiros is the religious authority and the Archbishop leads the church.

[ So here's a fun fact: According to the Fate/EXTRA material book, in the EX timeline, the Holy Church gives their support to the Harway family!

...What I'm saying is, Rin is not particularly inclined to like religious authorities. ]

Right. The church I'm used to dealing with has ranks that go higher, so it's hard to tell just how much authority you're slinging around with a title like that. But that answers my question, I guess.

Of course. I don't think any of us are under any illusion about the weight titles carry here. [ By which she means, none. ] Whatever we were before, the Professor is the one holding all the power now.

For the moment he is but the flow of time can be fickle. Who knows where we will end up?
