WEEK 1

Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to Peace Week! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, office hours for The Professor's Assistant are over here if you're interested, while regains can be deposited over here! ]

I was actually in the business of looking for ideas about that, since you've asked!

[ She flicks her glasses up on her face and grins, thankful for her enthusiasm! ]

I'm not really sure what's good and what's not here, so I was hoping to experiment a bit. Do you have any favorites we can split?
lovelikeyou: (🌸 and the heart is)

[personal profile] lovelikeyou 2020-04-09 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
[Well...most of the food Rose particularly likes is dessert. But she's eaten a lot of new stuff with Greg lately.]

Fry bits?

[personal profile] snackooed 2020-04-11 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Fry...bits? I don't think I've had those before...

[ Scientifically speaking, though, it seems impossible to put something in the frier and have it turn out to be unappetizing. Even if it's likely unhealthy. ]

What are they bits of?
lovelikeyou: (🌸 I would give it all)

[personal profile] lovelikeyou 2020-04-12 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
French fries! They're the little bits that get caught in the frier.

[so, they're absolutely awful for you and utterly delicious]

[personal profile] snackooed 2020-04-13 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[ oh goodness-- ]

Well, that certainly sounds doable! I could actually go for a nice, greasy burger with fries right about now. I'll make sure to have them pull the bits for us! It sounds yummy!

[ And likely to give you a heart attack. ]

I wonder how they'd be if you put a milkshake over them, too? There's something about dipping your fries in a vanilla shake...
lovelikeyou: (🌸 you see)

[personal profile] lovelikeyou 2020-04-13 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[Rose's grasp of the concept of nutrition is extremely questionable.]

Ooooh, that sounds interesting! I've never tried that!

[personal profile] snackooed 2020-04-15 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
You're missing out, I'll tell you. Once you start, you won't be able to stop. The hot fry and the cold ice cream...there's something about it that just feels right.

[ Clearly Ema's isn't much better. ]

Rose, right? We'll try them together and you can say I told you so.
lovelikeyou: (🌸 about anything)

[personal profile] lovelikeyou 2020-04-15 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay! I'm sure you know more about it than I do. I only really eat with humans.

[personal profile] snackooed 2020-04-15 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you not eat otherwise? That's a little sad, even if you're not someone who technically has to...

[ At least, assuming she doesn't. She's a little curious about her biology, in that case, but... ]

Eating is good for the head just as much as it is for the stomach.
lovelikeyou: (🌸 I can't seem to understand)

[personal profile] lovelikeyou 2020-04-15 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it?

[Eh, it doesn't really have many physiological effects for her.]

I took a long time to understand much about it. Learning how to taste things was like a whole new world!
snackooed: <user name=baconplates site=livejournal.com> (ema20)

[personal profile] snackooed 2020-04-15 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, even if I didn't have to eat, I don't know where I'd be if I couldn't have chocolate every once in a while, for example. I think my head would probably explode from stress...
lovelikeyou: (🌸 and it talks to me in tiptoes)

[personal profile] lovelikeyou 2020-04-15 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Does it really help that much?

[she LIKES it, but she's never considered it that vital]
snackooed: <user name=baconplates site=livejournal.com> (ema019)

[personal profile] snackooed 2020-04-15 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Scientifically speaking, yes, absolutely! Putting aside the benefits to your heart and your skin, it also improves brain function and memory, too! In my line of work, that's crucial.

[ It sounds like this is a topic she has heavy familiarity with. Rose is talking to a former chocolate fiend, here-- ]

And it's also proven to stimulate your mood, too. It alleviates certain risk factors that lead to depression and helps regulate serotonin in your body, which is a chemical that makes you feel good!
lovelikeyou: (🌸 when I see the way you look)

[personal profile] lovelikeyou 2020-04-15 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! That's so interesting! I don't know if I could make serotonin...

[for one, she does not know what it is]

But I can make a heart and a brain!
snackooed: <user name=livebites> (ema005 (1))

[personal profile] snackooed 2020-04-15 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you not...already have them? I'm sorry if that's, er, a personal question...

[ But she can't imagine how she's, well...moving and talking and eating without either of those. ]
lovelikeyou: (🌸 I could even learn)

[personal profile] lovelikeyou 2020-04-16 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, no! I usually only keep a stomach and tastebuds! Just in case.
