WEEK 1

Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

[ It isn't as though she hasn't read them, but she definitely prefers getting her information from the source. Getting information from interviews is all part of the job... ]

I've definitely noticed that. To be honest, it's definitely a bit of adjustment for me. I've been trying my best to sort of go along with it all, and don't get me wrong, the last thing I'd want to do is disrespect anyone's home? But compared to where I come from, so many people here seem to have led some absolutely fantastical lives...

[ Especially the animals? Like, how the heck does that work-- ]

As a woman of science, it's been kind of humbling.
baitless: bringing a hand up to his face thoughtfully. (chai... just means tea...)

Well, I will admit, this very situation is rather fantastical to me. Where I am from, we do not have means to... well... survive underwater like this, I suppose.

[and SOMEONE may have been suppressing scientific advancements for the last millennium. Not naming names.]

I would imagine it’s a strange experience for all of us, really. Though, I do remember Lif mentioning he was familiar with the concept of multiple worlds...

Is that so? Where I'm from, multiple timelines and things like that are more like a theory...one that seems fairly impossible to put into practice. So maybe speaking to someone with more experience should be fruitful...

As for surviving underwater, I'm familiar with vehicles that travel under the sea, and I suppose they are livable for an indefinite amount of time, if there's enough food, but it's certainly not...well, intended.
baitless: he looks a bit tired, but less intensely so. (how vaguely and unhelpfully can i put it)

I wouldn't even know the first thing about the theory, honestly. I've become... very familiar with the idea that they can diverge in strange ways, though...

[it's kind of very what the fuck, honestly.]

...in any case, that does not entirely give me much confidence in how tenable this situation will be for an extended period of time.

Well, the human body certainly wasn't made to be underwater, that's for sure. It's not that it's untenable, as you put it, but I'll give you a fair warning that going without sunlight and fresh air for a while is definitely not a good thing, just on a physical level. So it's pretty important to stay well-fed and rested. Get plenty of nutrients, try not to lose too much sleep...
