Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

Hopefully. I'm not sure why we need a dress covered in the guy from Con Air otherwise? But here we are.

You recognize this man? What is Con Air?

Yeah, he's an actor. We have these things that are like plays, only they're recorded in a way that lets them be shown on screens like the ones here. That way everyone that wants to see them can without having to be there in person, and so the actors can work on a lot of different projects instead of just one.

Con Air is about a good man who was wrongfully imprisoned, and is being transported to a prison in another area along with a lot of legitimately bad people. On the way there, the bad people overthrow the guards and take over the transport, and it's up to the one good guy there to try to stop them before they kill a whole bunch of people. Something like that.

I see. It sounds like an entertaining story.

As someone who's never fought in a dress, I obviously wouldn't know. But I'd think the shorter ones might be okay unless you care about modesty.

No, I do get it. My wife's pretty practical, too, she's not really fond of dresses and stuff unless we're going out somewhere.

I've been married a bit over thirteen years now, actually.

Annette's pretty great. She's got a good mind on her, she helps me with my research. We met at work when she was first starting out. She's pretty, too.

I didn't really think I was the sort to want that, either. As it is... Well, I love Sherry a lot, don't get me wrong, and I don't want anything to happen to her. But I can't say I recommend having kids, either.

You're right. It seems most of us assumed that they're fine and untouched back home, but that may not be the case if their possessions are in that machine.

Yeah, it's not entirely unique. I'd be more concerned if it were something he couldn't replicate. This could conceivably be something like that.

Understandable. A skilled mage could likely recreate an item like that.
