WEEK 1
Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...
The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Peace Week! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, office hours for The Professor's Assistant are over here if you're interested, while regains can be deposited over here! ]

If you wish to do so, by all means. I'm certainly not going to stop you, whether you choose to or not.

I'll...try not to make such a disturbance, in any case.
[He's gonna conquer his ineptitude over machines, goddammit.]

[You know what, he's curious about that.]
I take it that you know of people who train for other sake's as well, then. For what other reason would one need to do so?

That makes sense. But...if I may, what sort of magic do you specialize in?
[It sounds like something Anna's fond of, at any rate, and who knows. Maybe she'll be okay with explaining it. Lif's always curious, if due in part to his own ineptitude.]

Intriguing...I can certainly imagine that you're a crafty opponent to fight. With such abilities, you'd be able to overwhelm an opponent all too easily.
[He is genuinely impressed, and he nods his head at her question, but...]
I have always been, though my talent in such regards is quite lacking; Father insisted that I stick to what I'm good at, which is sword play. But from time to time, I did play around with magic. I was only able to see minimal results with light-based magic, however.
[i can't believe i get to use feh alts as a barometer for character capabilities]
My sister was always the more talented of the two of us in that regard, and even then, she didn't utilize it much.
I have always found magic a very fascinating subject, however, and liked to read about it sometimes. When I didn't have other duties to attend to.
[Or reading history books, like a nerd.]

[Since that seems to be out in the open in here. Still, she seems somewhat distracted by what he says next.]
Talent... Well, some people are born for different things, so they say. ...Regardless. Rin brought up a theory that it isn't that magic doesn't exist here, simply that we can't use it. As if there's a seal on us, rather than a seal on it. I'm not sure that makes a great deal of sense, but what's your perspective?
[She doesn't look like she'll listen to it, but at least she asked it, which is something.]

That is a strong possibility; I have heard of such magic able to be utilized by clerics. A silence spell coming from someone with enough experience to utilize it would be able to effectively neutralize anyone who utilizes magic.
Unfortunately, the spell I've heard of has it's limits; it only lasts a certain amount of time before it wears off, and has to be reapplied. So unless he and his assistant are simply that adept, it would have been possible to at least utilize some form of magic before it was used again.
[...]
Even so...I would not put it past this world to have an even stronger grasp on such magic than my own. Or most's own, I would wager; the Professor did say that he was able to 'level the playing field' for any of us who would have presented...problems, with this experiment.
So if he has developed any sort of seal upon us, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. At any rate, it is within the realm of possibility.
