WEEK 2
So far, so good! That might be where you at. No real further word from The Captain seems forthcoming, but also no real further... anything seems forthcoming. You've gathered some new information, but the locations are the same. All you've really gained is... well, rising tension?
How long until someone tries to take The Captain's way out of here? Only time will tell...

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome one and all to your first case week! Don't forget to turn in regains over here, AC over here, and if you want to chat up the NPCs go here for Davy Jones and here for The Captain! ]

Plumeria. I've something for you.
no subject
Good evening, Lady Freyja. What did you find?
[She's definitely curious, given that she can't really see it.]
no subject
I have this for you. It was...in one of those machines.
[She'll hold it out then; have your Flower of Plenty back, Plumeria.]
I can imagine you've been missing it.
no subject
She had certainly been missing her old flower since arriving here, barely having been separated from it since...well, becoming a Dökkálfar, and there's almost something akin to relief in Plumeria's eyes as she gently looks at it, and takes it back into her hands like one would hold a precious stuffed animal.
...Of course, she does look away with mild embarrassment at being so undignified for a moment--]
Yes. Yes, I have been missing this very much, Lady Freyja. [She can't feel it's power, but that's fine. This is still proof of Plumeria's power, and most importantly, Lady Freyja's love. And even if Plumeria's back to attempting to be dignified about it, there's no denying the softness of the gaze Plumeria looks down at her flower with.] ...Thank you. I was genuinely worried that it was lost for good.
[...She's absolutely not going to stop holding it like a stuffed animal.]
Was it that one that took the strange coins, by any chance?
no subject
[That sort of reaction isn't something that Freyja had expected, to be honest, even though she supposes that she should have in hindsight; this is something that Plumeria would obviously find important, and she shouldn't be surprised that she's glad to be reunited with her weapon - though this seems decidedly more...personal than that, doesn't it?
It's strange, and it strikes her a little oddly, but... Well, at least Plumeria appreciates it.]
Someone found my own weapon there as well, earlier. It was good to have it back. I can imagine that you feel likewise.
[It's a little awkward, and still not quite encompassing what she's seeing, precisely, but it will have to be good enough for now.]
no subject
[Plumeria breathes a bit of a sigh, not letting go of her hold on the flower but just kind of. Trying to be a little more dignified, here, at the very least.]
...Though, it's definitely cause for concern as well. At this point I'm wondering just what else that machine has inside of it.
[Weapons, things that should be impossible to fit in there...really, it's perplexing now that Plumeria gives it thought.]
no subject
[...You know. The kind she gave the lot of you.]
John Constantine had it, and he tried some of it; judging from the current state of John Constantine [read: still human] it seems to have been cleared of its magical properties.
no subject
That they managed to steal even dream nectar...really, there certainly has to be some kind of malicious magic at play.
[...]
...Though I'm thankful it doesn't actually have any kind of effect here. I don't even want to imagine just how that would turn out.
[just from her one conversation so far with that man, she knows fairy constantine would be cursed]
I suppose we'll have to keep an eye out on what people get from the machine, then, just in case.
no subject
[...Although, honestly- ]
...And believe me, John Constantine would not be my first choice to offer that to, either. Thankfully it's a moot point.
no subject
Thankfully indeed.
[...]
...Our minds really did go to the same place, didn't they? Really, I'm not even sure who that would be worse for.
[Him or them. The answer is almost definitely obvious, though. Maybe some of the others would take to it better if it actually worked. They likely wouldn't, though, and Plumeria certainly wouldn't suggest it.]
no subject
[...]
Perhaps his hair would have done something cute. That may have been the only saving grace.
[Just. Take a moment to try to fathom Constantine with ass-length thorn hair. Or maybe something done up like Peony's.]
no subject
You know, that might actually be true. His hair might not look so bad with a bit of a floral touch to it.
[The Peony hair is what comes to mind, or gods forbid, he gets like. Little ear-like things like Mirabilis has? Oh dear gods.]
I imagine there'd probably be a few others here who'd take to it a little more...gracefully, however. Not that I'd wish for such a thing to happen.
no subject
Tell me what you think of Chloe, if you don't mind? I find myself curious.
no subject
[Plumeria has not called many people by name since starting this exercise and she's apparently not going to start now. Still, Plumeria thinks for a moment.]
She's amusing. She speaks in a manner that's incredibly hard to understand, but quite fun to utilize. [read: mis-utilize and horribly curse everyone in a five mile radius] Her presence isn't as unbearable as most of the wretched humans in this place, if nothing else.
[So all in all, pretty ambivalent?]
If you're asking if she might take such a thing, however...I think she might turn out better than most. Maybe, at least.
[She'd certainly look cool, if nothing else? Probably like, Triandra but neon, maybe.]
no subject
[...She would induce some of the most depressing dreams known to man, admittedly, but...]
It's merely something I've noticed from staying in the same room with her.
[And, like, talking to her about stuff.]
She truly isn't one of the horrid ones, however. If I must be staying with one of them at all.
no subject
Well, I'm glad she isn't. I'd have several harsh words for her if she were giving you a hard time, Lady Freyja, and I'm certain she wouldn't bother you again after.
[...Of course, once that's out there in Plumeria's usual tone, she goes just the slightest bit more subdued as she looks down to the flower in her arms. Contemplative.]
...It's strange, really. I haven't seen a single one of anyone's secret dreams since arriving here. All I've been able to use to...ascertain these humans is what they talk about.
[She's so used to having every reason to disparage them, and for several, she still has plenty of reason to do so. And yet...]
I'm not sure how to feel about it. But...I guess a few of them aren't so horrible.
no subject
[Conversation they're currently having aside; that still seems...important, really.]
The Captain's game is still in place, and it's entirely possible that we just haven't seen their true colors yet. It may just be that they're better at hiding from us, now that we can't see the contents of their dreams.
no subject
Of course. I don't have any intention of letting my guard down around them. They're still disgusting, vulgar beings who are just...better at hiding it, in this circumstance.
[That's how Plumeria's attempting to justify it.]
I have no intention of letting my guard down, Lady Freyja. I won't even give them the opportunity. And...I'll do everything I can to keep you safe, I swear.
no subject
[She does seem to believe that much, entirely.]
I'm glad that you could be reunited with your flower here, even if it took some time.
no subject
[Plumeria smiles softly down at the flower again.]
Thank you again for reuniting me with it, Lady Freyja.
