Good morning, New Rapture. A new day is dawning.

It's now been a week since you were all captured. Perhaps you've already settled in. Perhaps you're already confident that you'll make it out of New Rapture alive. How serious about this could Mayor Fontaine possibly be, really?

While there still may not be much to do in your little hotel bubble, you've at least been granted a little more now - some kind of mysterious room and a sizeable library of all things. And in all the places you've looked so far, you've found valuable information, and even learned some of the story of New Rapture along the way.

Make sure to keep talking to the others! You want to keep those regain coins flowing, don't you?

[ He'll glance over at the pig that is at the woman's feet. ]

Emergency rations?

[ But then he will look back at the books he's slowly looking through with mostly disinterest. ]

Absolutely not. [She brings a hand to her chest in mock offense.] Piglet is my friend. Aren't you?

[She looks down. The pig looks up at her and snorts.]

Piglet says yes.

[Truly unclear if she actually understands the pig, or she's just bullshitting.]

[ ...Oh my god.

Well, the inanity of it is so ridiculous and absurd it circles right back around to vaguely amusing. ]

Interesting. Where did this pig of yours come from? I hadn't thought our captor was feeling so generous.

[ Surely, it couldn't have come from that 'vending machine'. Then again, he doesn't know living beings can, for that matter. ]

Vending machine.

[She just says that with an air of "of course my pet pig came out of a vending machine." In her defense, that is absolutely not the weirdest thing she's ever seen.]

Or I guess if you want to be real technical, I bought him off a guy on Craigslist and then he ended up in the vending machine.

Odd that they'd keep a living thing in there.

[ But it is whatever. Technology has always been something that can be considered an enigma at times. Capable of many things that it shouldn't be. ]

...And this "Craigslist" is what?

I don't know, there's a lot of weird stuff in that vending machine. [She shrugs.] But Craigslist is a website where people put up ads for stuff and you can buy it off them or agree to be their maid or whatever.

[The future is amazing!]

Yes, there is.

[ Like this mask of one absurdly hideous looking fella. ]

How convenient. I've never heard of anything like that on these..."websites".

[ Vholran doesn't know what an internet is, to be quite honest. Even if he is familiar with other various advanced technology. ]

It's more like 50/50 on if Craigslist is useful or not, honestly. Sometimes it's a cesspit. Sometimes it's useful.

[Story of the internet, honestly.]

Then about as potentially useful as the books here.

[ Not really worth his time but it isn't as if he has anything else better go do. ]

Ehhhhh, at least the books kill time. It's not like there's that much to do around here.

[And she's not a gym rat or anything so.]

No. And I suppose that is entirely the point.

[ There is, indeed, the gym which he does occasionally visit, but...you know. He prefers having more freedom in what he can do, where he can go. ]

I was talking with Hagakure last week and he said new locations are probably only going to pop up when people die.

[So yay. There's that.]
