WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

Gym
Does he mean the treadmill...? Huh, could it be this ship has stuff from his world humans don't know about? Because Filbo does know what this is:]
That's a treadmill! It's for running. You know, you get on it and start running.
no subject
What does it do? Does it take you somewhere? Like a car powered by feet?
no subject
[Filbo approaches the treadmill to check it, just in case there's some difference he's not aware of. Nope! It's just like he knows them]
But you need to come back to run every day for a few weeks. This is all about persevering.
no subject
[He can at least get that the treadmill is for exercise, but he still doesn't get why people would willingly do it.]
no subject
[The logic is there, really]
Lack of space? Not having anything better to do? Just...not wanting to collapse in the middle of a hallway when you run out of energy?
no subject
[Okay, that makes sense. There's not really anywhere to run to on this boat. So he nods.]
Alright. That makes sense.
[Now he's going over to the exercise bike.]
What's this for?
no subject
That's the same thing than the treadmill! Just that it's for a bike instead of running -- and riding a bike around in a ship is a bad idea anyway. You'd fall overboard if you make a mistake!
[...]
Apparently a lot of exercising involves moving in one place?
no subject
[Even if he can understand why running and biking would need to be in place on a ship, he still doesn't see the importance of it.]
How long are people supposed to be on these ships anyway?
no subject
Uh...from a few days to a month? They usually don't involve killing anyone, though...
no subject
[He wants to go back to bed.]
no subject
[Filbo, you met Lalli while he was pretty much dying on a railing with his face out there to the sea, what do you think?]
no subject
[Filbo???]
Why would anyone do that? The water is dangerous.
no subject
I suppose it'd be safer to travel by air instead of using ships!
[Filbo has grown fond of airships, even if they're kind of small and not really used that often]
no subject
[The one kind of magic he is actually a little bit jealous of.]
no subject
You don't need to be a bird! All you need is a plane or an airship!
no subject
no subject
[Filbo spreads his arms wide open as if that'd accurately capture the scale of one of those things. It certainly doesn't]
A plane is like a ship, but for the sky! It's got these turbines and engines that keep it moving. You have to stay sitting all the time. Airships, though, they're much smaller wooden ships and have this big balloon on top you fill with hot air by burning wood and drive around for long distances. They usually are for just one or two people, but riding them is an adventure of its own!
[And it literally saved Filbo's life just two months ago]
You...you really don't have any of that where you're from?
no subject
No. We have ships on water, but not in the air. Some mages can use magic to fly, but I can't.
no subject
...well, a lot of humans here have some really interesting abilities. These humans really are a box of surprises, aren't they?]
Then what magic can you use?
[Asked with the amazement of someone from a world with no magic at all, ayup]
no subject
[He sounds a bit proud as he says that too. He's not the best mage but he is an excellent scout, and he takes pride in his work. Even if magic only helps his scouting a little bit.]
I also know the prayers to the gods to call for their help. But that doesn't always work. The gods are fickle.

So you can visit that realm Freyja and Plumeria come from! The realm of dreams! Doka--D-Doc--Da...ah...
[Scandinavian languages, how do they work. Still, they come from a realm of dreams, and Freyja apparently is the queen herself and also is the Goddess of Love, if the profile is any indication?
are you gonna pray to freyja lalli]
