Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

Most of them don't have the cybernetics unless they're really unlucky, but yeah.

[Eggman doesn't really pass them out of the goodness of his heart, after all.]

What about these "monsters" you keep mentioning?

[As she explains, she slips a bit into Excited Exposition Mode.] They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and all of them have magic to some degree. They've only been out of the Underground for a few months, but they do have much more memories of the war than we do, since some of them live for a very long time. I confess that we've pretty much erased it from our history, with only legends of Mt. Ebott remaining-the place where no one ever returns from.

They were sealed underground by a one-way barrier for a long time, with only the occasional human falling down from that mountain. Until at last, they somehow managed to gather enough power to break the barrier, guided by the most recent human to land there. But they're not holding any grudges, and we're doing our best to integrate them with our culture. The war happened very far back, when Pokemon training wasn't even that much of a thing. I like to think us humans are a little better at cooperating with those unlike us, these days. There's still the occasional conflict, but us ambassadors are doing our best to smooth them over.

[His eyes kind of glaze over a little during all that, but he thinks he gets the gist.]

I think I got about half of that, but, uh, yeah, don't think that's my world.

[A slight slump of her shoulders.] Well, that's unfortunate. But at least we've prevented any further misunderstandings that might have occurred.

[The whole Underground-Overlander thing could definitely have caused some assumptions, in her opinion.]

Oh, don't be so down! The possibilities for misunderstandings are infinite.

[A sigh.] I'd much rather nothing of the sort happen here. Especially in cases like this where we're already being encouraged to distrust each other.

It'll probably happen sooner or later. It's how people are.

[The whole 'murder someone to escape' thing probably won't help.]

But if I have anything to say about it nothing'll get hurt except maybe some people's dignity.

[Adeline would like to object about the whole "how people are," part, but at least he's not being fatalistic about it.] A bit of bruised dignity is a much better outcome, certainly. Do you have plans for that already? [Her tails curls up as she tilts her head curiously.]
