Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

Have you tried any of it yet?

I have. I find it preferable to the food we've been offered - at least, since I've discovered a strong dislike for seafood and this seems overall less sad.

[Haven't these people ever heard of a vegetarian.]

...Generally I've found that the more brightly-colored packages have far more flavor to them. It's a fairly accurate indicator.

[No judging - sometimes people just don't like to eat the fish. That's life. But also yeesh, that's not too fair to Freyja, all she can eat is the sad steamed veggies and overcooked spaghetti.]

More color equals more flavor...I shall keep that in mind. Are there any that you feel are your favorite?

[They're so sad. That said, have some of these knockoff Takis held out to you, Flayn.]

They're pleasantly warm, I like whatever spices are in them. But I haven't tried everything yet.

How do they get these incredible foods into the device in the first place?

That's a good question... They clearly must have a stockpile somewhere here on the vessel, otherwise I'm not sure how they're getting here at all. But if they put the food and such in the machines at night, I certainly haven't seen them do it.

[She tends to be more active at night, after all.]

Have you been about the ship at night, then?

[Flayn goes to her room and attempts sleep, and gets a little, mostly because they were told what hours were when and she's, uh. Nervous about just roaming about a place she barely knows at night. But if someone else is doing it, maybe it's not so bad?

I have. I tend to prefer being active at night rather than during the daytime; the ship tends to be peaceful then.

...Should you prefer to not go alone, I think the top deck would be rather nice at night. You would likely be able to find me there.

I would like that very much, thank you. Sometimes...no, most of the time, sleep is difficult for me. Company would be nice.

[She doesn't want to keep Lorna up all night, she looks sick and probably needs all the sleep she can get!]

Yes, that is right.

[The title does make her pause, and she is sure to pocket the Takis if she hasn't already before bowing at the waist, one hand curled into a fist at her chest. Usual proper Fodlan style of bowing to one who deserves respect.]
