Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

Perhaps in a few days' time...? That will allow us to prepare something, and I feel that by then we will either know each other somewhat better or it will serve as a welcome distraction.

Besides, perhaps it will make the Captain see that we're disinterested in playing his little game.

Obviously. I dunno what the Captain expected. Nobody would be so desperate as to start killing people like that anyway when there's not even a way to return home.

Of course! If there's one thing I'm decent at is hosting parties. I actually do know how to do a little of everything in them!

[And since it's so rare for Filbo to say he's good at something, he truly believes he's good at it. It's a confidence that doesn't emerge often]

What kind of party will it be? Banquet, a subdued party, a really festive one...I guess there's no really a way to get music, though...

It's been some time since I've done anything of the sort in the presence of mortals, but I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

It's got to get everyone entertained, but too bad a few of us are a little...too into annoying others to really be content with just mingling around. Maybe...oh! Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what's your stance on confetti flying everywhere...uh...

[Filbo narrows his eyes, thinking. Not long ago he had read the profiles more carefully and saw a little detail about Freyja's he perhaps should have realized sooner for politeness' sake. Because, well, you don't address royalty casually, do you?]

[Too bad he doesn't know what's the right way to address royalty, but still, he has to try!]

'Lady Freyja' is fine. We aren't within my realm here, after all.

[Not being in her realm is accounting for a lot of things, really. As it is, she's both reasonably tiny and easily thrown overboard, so she's hardly going to be snippy with people right now, especially over something so relatively minor.]

...And I think I wouldn't mind the confetti, actually. It seems like a good addition to the atmosphere of the place.

[If they like confetti poppers that much, well, then he'll provide them with something good with that. He's going to have to spend hours getting paper shards out of his fur again but sacrifices need to be made. It'll be fine!
