Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

No, I have not seen any actual liquor here. But I made a fizzy drink.

Ugghh, everyone knows you drink those things for the alcohol, not the mix. Lame.

Then I suppose this is an issue to bring up to the Captain, if he has made such a grave error.

What type of liquor is this "tequila"?

Uhh... The kind that gets you fucked up? [ Nah, she probably wants something a little more than that. ] It's a spirit. From Mexico.

Anyway. The Captain's a dick, so he probably ain't gonna give us any alcohol. That would make too much sense.

Spirits and liquor usually do that in enough quantities.

I am sorry to say I have not heard of anyplace called Mexico. What is it like?

[ ...Not one to give up easily, Chloe climbs over the bar, to look for herself. ]

But it's supposed to be nice. Kinda arid, good tacos. ...Please tell me you've heard of tacos.

[She makes a sort of wobbly motion with her hands.] I have tried the food called "tacos" at the buffet. The ones with shrimp inside were quite nice, but the ones with...beef? I think it was beef. Those did not look as appetizing. That was my first time encountering something like it.

Okay, some of the food here sucks ass so it is sooo not a good judge. ...Eh, the seafood's aight, I guess.

So far the seafood is delightful! It is everything else that is lacking...much like the drink selection, apparently.

Figures that everything else would suck. But, pirates are supposed to at least have rum or mead. You'd think with Davy frickin' Jones here, it wouldn't be just a seafood buffet. ...Hm. He's a big ol' squid. Is that a threat...?

I thought he resembled more of an octopus...but then again, what else are squid or octopi able to eat when they live in the ocean?

Maybe the Captain has yet to pay him for his service.

[That's a thing, you paid sailors in booze back in the day.]

Or perhaps whatever he has over Mister Davy Jones's head is worth more than that sort of payment.

Payment? Oh, I wasn't even thinking about payment. Cruise ship or not, if you've got the Davy Jones as your First Mate? You're a fuckin' pirate. Not having even a drop of rum? That's ridiculous.
