WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

[If you want hot tea, well, you're kind of out of luck there]
It's a bad tea situation.
no subject
[He flops back down on his pillow in disgust.]
It seems to me that the incineration attempt was the best hospitality we have experienced so far.
no subject
[If the best hospitality was a failed thing, then really, that's very sad.
Not that Filbo would have been preferred for the flamethrowers to work, obviously]
Since they say we're going to be forever here and the point is to make us want to leave I doubt there'll be a lot of hospitality, but...it could be worse.
[Filbo doesn't say anything, but he's already trying to think of a good way to heat up tea. There still would be no lemons, and the vending machine tea isn't exactly top notch quality despite being better than the buffet tea, but if it's hot it's bound to be better, no?]

[He manages to... kind of pull himself up a bit... and runs his hand through his hair...]
I suppose I will try... the cold tea. If I must.
no subject
I'll bring it. You get yourself psyched up for the day, I'll bring tea before someone takes it all for themselves.
[Because seriously, Filbo is starting to feel really bad for Jasper. He's having such a bad time already, and it has barely been 15 hours. Not that he can blame him, really.
Filbo returns not long afterwards with quite the pitiful result, judging by his face. It's a mug he got from the buffet and that's...pretty much the best part of it all -- the mug itself. The liquid inside is at pretty much the worst temperature for tea -- not cold enough to be refreshing, and not even lukewarm. The liquid itself does look like tea and all, but the taste, while acceptable, leaves a lot to be desired.
At least there's sugar. Several packs of sugar. Oh well.
Filbo apologetically leaves the mug on one of the desks]
...looks like the tea situation got worse in the span of twenty minutes. I'm starting to think trying it will only make things worse -- but it's your call.
[Filbo is pretty sure the vending machine needs better calibration. What a capricious result he got this time]
no subject
[Sigh, he’s basically consigned himself to getting up now, so he may as well... by the time Filbo returns he’s doing some morning stretches. He looks... disappointed, but not surprised...]
I appreciate the effort, at least. I will... give it a go, I suppose...

Any dissatisfaction on anyone in the ship would increase the odds a murder would happen. The bad tea could be a small domino that makes others fall until it ends in a murder. Welp.]
I guess we're gonna have to be sleeping here for a while, so...if there's anything I can do to not be a bother you just have to tell me anytime.
no subject
[Jasper gives one of the sugar packets a bit of a look, then shakes it a bit.]
It has been some time since I have shared a room with someone else, but I do not need you to go out of your way for me.
[He gingerly rips the packet open and shakes it over the tea.]
You do not seem the sort to want to put a knife between my ribs, so I consider myself somewhat fortunate, really.
no subject
[Look on the bright side, Jasper, the odds of dying in your sleep to some plan from Filbo is pretty much nil]
Well, it's not really a matter of going out of my way, but if you say so. Not that I'm going to have that much free time, there must be a lot to investigate around here. I don't mind being roomies, but I'd like to get off the ship as soon as possible and not as a corpse.
[Unfortunately he was wrong: after just a couple days he was done poking around and got oodles of free time. What else to do but go out of his way for other people, really]
no subject
[He rips open another sugar packet and shakes it into his tea.]
There will need to be morale breaks so that we do not burn ourselves out, of course.
no subject
[...still...a morale break, huh. Well that's kind of planting the sprout of an idea that'd keep tempting Filbo throughout the day until Tuesday, when he told Freyja about wanting to organize a party]
...but you're not wrong. Something should be done about that too.
[Yup, definitely that's where the idea of a party started to grow]
no subject
[SURE. PARTY TIME.]
