Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

Flayn actually doesn't have a plan of discussion.]

Well. I wanted to say "hello, nice to meet you" and "good morning" properly. And...I hope that we can be friends! Especially if we are going to be sharing this room for the forseeable future.

[This is how you introduce yourself to a roommate, right?]

[Lorna is a little surprised by that, but after a moment she manages a smile.]

I've never shared a room with anyone before, so I must admit that I don't know that much about what is proper and improper. I suppose I should have spoken with you more before going to sleep last night, but... [... Yeah, yesterday was tense.]

Regardless, I would love the chance for us to become friends. [She then holds out a hand in to offer a handshake. That's how you're supposed to greet new people, right? It's been a long time since she's done so.]

My name is Lorna. What is yours?

I have never shared a room with anyone, either!

[Sure, it's cramped, but it's still a novel experience.]

That's alright. I think everyone was very...stressed, after last night. [She will reach out and shake Lorna's hand!] My name is Flayn!

It's a pleasure to meet you, Flayn. I will do my best to be a good roommate for you.

[She says, although she then winces momentarily, raising the hand she didn't shake with to dry cough against for a second.]

Ah, ha, though... I do apologize if I disturb your peace and quiet now and then. I'm still dealing with a personal illness from back home, unfortunately... but, I promise that it's okay, it's not, um, contagious.

[Oh...Flayn's expression falls to one of light concern.]

That will not be a bother. Do you think some tea and honey might help?

[bonesorter]

[It... won't really cure her illness, but Lorna still smiles.]

That sounds like a lovely idea. Do you think the buffet here would have it available for us?

[It never really cures any illness, but it is nice. And maybe it can soften that cough, who knows?

Auntie Whispers probably knows, but.]

It is possible! While I did not check to see what it had, I do plan on investigating it today.

[And it's very likely all it'll have is like, Lipton tea bags and those little individual containers of honey that maybe equal a teaspoon.]

[lmao probably... but that's gotta be better than nothing, right?]

You'll have to tell me if you find anything interesting or worthwhile trying: I know there's a few things I didn't recognize yesterday when I first saw it, so I wasn't sure what would be good to try.

Hm...hopefully the others will be amiable to explaining them if I also do not recognize them.

[It's going to be fun, discovering how to make virgin cocktails.]

I should hope so... I mean, everyone seems friendly enough, I would like to think they would not mind offering their insight if they have any.

[Flayn is trusting ALL THE TIME, there's no way either of them will end up having a Bad Time.]
