WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

[John peers over at the book Filbo has brought.]
Well, that would certainly explain quite a few things. What's the X and the question mark for, you reckon?
no subject
[Filbo chuckles without much enthusiasm. He has no idea what those scribbles mean]
I dunno, but it's all in marker, it wasn't printed on the book. Someone went and drew it for some reason. The Captain, probably.
no subject
[He's joking, but whatever it is, it's probably not good.]

[And if it turns out the Captain just is going to go find a treasure and for some reason it involves them killing each other because the chest needs a few souls to open, well, that will be upsetting]

What sort of superstitions apply to this Bermuda Triangle?
no subject
[...]
I dunno if this world we're in is a place where that all is true, but in mine it's not really that dangerous of a place. Just a lot of water.

[It's probably a rude question...]

[Lost football mascots, too]

[Which means, sea serpents????? Yes???? Big snakey friends!!!]

[You can't beat circular logic like that]

Sylvando will worry about what planes are later...]
Erdrea has such a location, though it is called The Strand. It is a location out at sea that is shrouded in fog, and sea vessels often drift into it and become lost. While I was traveling with the Luminary, we ended up lost in there ourselves!
I certainly wouldn't consider it safe by any means, since we came across monsters and shipwrecks in there, but it wasn't impossible to escape from! We even ended up going back there a few times.

[Why someone would willingly go into a dangerously supernatural place once? Filbo doesn't know, but it's forgivable because maybe it happens by accident. Going several times? That doesn't seem great]
no subject
[He...seems a little melancholy about that, truth be told. It was very much a bittersweet quest.]

[Filbo seems really touched. Aw, that's great! Okay, for something like that, going into a dangerously supernatural place really can be worth it.
Once.
Because seriously, that still is not a great place to be in, be careful with your lives]

How is that different from any other big bodies of water?
no subject
[sure would suck if every big body of water was infested with nasty creatures sinking ships and bringing horror to wary explorers]
no subject
[Because Iceland is full of BABIES who can't handle the real world, or so Lalli thinks.]

[She's just saiyan. There's some baffling bullshit going on here and then there's the sea monsters and look, she's done her digital homework but paper books aren't as much her priority so far.
She should probably get to it....... eventually.]
I don't really feel missing. Just kinda kidnapped still.
no subject
[though it's star trek so maybe there's a borg living down there or something idk]

[Not everyone comes from a magic-infested world, Constantine.]
no subject
[they just missed Bermuda of Borg]
Several deep-sea species may qualify as "sea monsters", but they are shy of human contact and unlikely to approach the surface. Much less to attack a ship.

Then why would it have garnered such a reputation? Surely something about the area made it more prone to such happenings than others.
