WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

Of course! It's not too difficult once you get used to them.
[Says Filbo, who by the look of his limbs is not exactly someone who exercises often. Still, to demonstrate the correct form, he stands on the treadmill, grabbing the handles at the side of the control panel]
The point is that here you can run for miles without moving from this room -- a good thing since there's not much space to run everywhere in this ship! As you said that one is to turn it on and off. These here are for speed, so you can decide how fast you want to go, and this here is a timer, so you can set how long you're going to be running. And these!
[He shakes the handles]
These are to hold onto because...it's a little too easy to stumble and fall on your face on these things. Trust me, it happens.
[But anyone more coordinated than Filbo will be fine, really. He just is clumsy]

Plumeria watches as Filbo climbs on and explains everything, watching intently. It's easy enough to grasp, at the very least, though her expression seems surprised that you can time such things...interesting, really. Fascinating, too.]
I see...you really can just plan out every aspect of your walk on these things, can't you?
[She sounds impressed with it, really. The explanation about the handles gets Plumeria to look over at them, a little amused.]
...I can see where it would. [You poor clumsy-seeming oaf. But as if to deflect from that, Plumeria points down at her own footwear; they're rather awkward looking boots with heels.] It's probably why I wouldn't run in something like these. But it is good to know that there's something to hold onto, in the event that disaster happens.

[And not using those awkward boots with heels, really, but he's not sure he should comment about that. Filbo gets off the treadmill]
You know, I have needed to explain so many things in two days -- things I had taken for granted and thought everybody would know. I can't imagine how it's like to be in a place with so much stuff I had never seen before.
[And while Filbo absolutely doesn't mind having to explain modern life things such as smartphones, planes, airships or treadmills, he really wonders if maybe, just maybe, it was meant to kind of put him in equal ground to everybody else: he is baffled about life forms other than grumpuses, they're baffled about everyday objects and he has to help them with those]

Still, that second bit...Plumeria doesn't stop her walk, but her look goes pensive.]
It's incredibly stressful. Being in a new place, surrounded by all sorts of things that are completely unknown to you and being forced to adapt...it doesn't make dealing with this any easier.
[...]
Perhaps that was intentional, on the Captain's part. Or at the very least, a strike of fortune for him.
[Since he did try to kill them outright to start with.]
no subject
[Should he be saying such things? What if it jinxes them and it turns out the Captain is some sort of master manipulator and is trying to get them into complacency and what not?
Maybe he should be more paranoid about all this, instead of taking everything at face value. Maybe]
no subject
Well, you're certainly not one to mince words, are you? [Don't worry, she's actually kind of impressed??] Not that I disagree, now that you mention it. He's entirely too boneheaded to plan anything out properly.
[honestly, go off filbo]
no subject
Maybe that's why the Captain had to bring Davy Jones -- because he couldn't do any of this by himself. I mean...Davy Jones is a fearsome legend for many reasons I dunno. The Captain probably isn't.

[in this house we roast the captain]
At any rate, you're likely not wrong.
no subject
[As long as it's not all of their souls, really]
no subject
[That and she's still a little...wigged out by him, if she's gonna be entirely honest, but it's easier to deflect like this than admit a weakness.]
Not that I think it's an impossible idea; we would just need to know what sort of deal those two had worked out, and see if we can't offer any higher. But who knows if he'd even listen to anyone else...
[She's not optimistic about it, at any rate.]
no subject
[He already told himself he should talk to him! But he just hasn't gathered enough courage for it. He probably won't for a while. Ironically enough, the Captain is far more approachable because he's not Davy Jones]
