Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

I'm afraid I don't know what this "Coca-Cola" is either. Auntie Whispers never brought anything like it home before.

[She doesn't know if that means Auntie didn't know what these drinks were either... or she didn't because she thought that they would somehow lead to wickedness. Hard to say, since she's not here for Lorna to ask.]

I wonder how many people around here do?

[He's curious, but at the same time, given the whole wanting to get people to kill each other thing...]

Maybe water would be safer.

I suppose the Captain and Mr. Jones would know what they are... but I'm a little afraid to ask them.

[Especially the former, who might lie... or tell people to drink something on the table here that's actually poisonous.]

...yeah, the Captain ain't trustworthy at all. Jones is the one I'm not so sure about; he's a pirate, but so's my buddy Eizen, and he's not the sort to terrorize people.

Not sure how much I trust that he's working with the Captain, though.

Agreed. Though, I suppose if I must, I would ask Mr. Jones before going to the Captain for anything.

[It's kind of sad that Davy Jones is more trustworthy than the Captain, when you think about it.]

Yeah, I've heard he's someone you can actually talk to, as strange as that is.

Really? Is he that accommodating, despite appearances?

[That's kind of a relief, if Davy is at least approachable even through the circumstances keeping everyone here...]

From what I've been told. I don't think he can answer any question, but he's at least open to discussion and will answer what he can, at least.

[Hmm]

Perhaps... I'll try talking to him at least once, and see what happens. Even if he cannot give an answer regarding returning to our homes, there might be something we can learn from him regardless.

Not a bad idea.

Might be interesting to know whether or not he tells different people different things.
