Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

[ So! Some basic information Flayn can get about the gym right away:

- The machines are well-maintained!
- The machines are in fact electrical!
- They don't... actually have any obvious power supplies. Like obviously Flayn isn't an electrical engineer, but there are no wires or anything. ]

[I mean, what's a wire. What does it do.

But no, Flayn will take note that nothing is connected to the machines, they just stand there. Maybe they have battery power? Maybe the magic of a weird ocean triangle that may or may not have sea serpents makes them go? The possibilities are endless here. After her manual examination of them, she may try pressing some of the buttons and seeing what they do to the machines. This is not in any pattern, it's just. Pressing one button, see what happens, press another, see what happens.

[ The buttons, to their credit, do what they are advertised and labelled as doing! Nothing strange in there.

There is one thing to note about the weights, which admittedly is the other main strange thing in this room: none of them show any signs of wear. ]

[Now that she can notice! So, there's no wear on these...no trace of perhaps being used by the Captain in the middle of the night?
