Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

The food is good! As long as you don't touch anything that isn't seafood.

[Surely she's staring at everything because she's trying to judge if there's anything inedible around, he decides. Yeah, that seems about right. People here are careful, as they should be.

Still, Filbo, who apparently has lost all of the concerns he had the first night, has piled his plate with quite a bit of stuff, probably more than he can actually eat]

Of course! There are a lot of options here, and although many of them aren't...very good, it'd be a shame not to eat as much as you can.

[More like he intends to fill himself as much as he can to last him the rest of the day, but hey, semantics -- it still is eating a lot, hah]

You don't go to buffets often?

Nay, I do not. So this is the first time I've ever seen so many different choices of food laid out like this. I almost worry about letting anything go to waste if left uneaten...

That's unavoidable. Wahtever's left will be thrown away. It's really wasteful.

I hope not. I'm worried that there might be something that could turn out poisonous to the fish living in the water if it's thrown overboard like that.

W-Well, this is mostly fish! And fishes eat fishes all the time, right? So in a way it's continuing the cycle of life.

I... suppose you may be right? I can't say I actually know that much about what it is that fish are normally supposed to eat to be considered healthy...

It's not too complicated! I mean, everything out there in the world can take care of itself. Even if they get tossed all this food, I'm sure they wouldn't eat something that'd harm them. Animals aren't dumb, I'm sure they know what they're doing!

Still, it does not change that it may end up being considered wasteful if even they won't eat whatever is tossed overboard, but there is nothing we can do about it now.

[We'll just... have to make peace with the fact that we might be potentially wasting food during our stay here, even if it doesn't sit right with her to do so. She had always been taught to eat everything that Auntie Whispers put in front of her, else she be "tempted to hunger for things she shouldn't later" and snacks outside of mealtimes were not really allowed in her house, so...]
