Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

...yeah, it wasn't like that, in my world. It's the humans who were the aggressors, out of fear of the powers of the monsters. Of course this was long ago, before even humans and Pokemon worked together. Are...there still kingdoms in danger in your world, or is it more of a stalemate now?

I would say there is more of a back and forth in my world, perhaps because humans and monsters have similar abilities. But yes, there is more of a clear danger at present. I would say that the problem seems to lie less in the monsters themselves and those who lead them, though.

...ah. [The nature of a leader can really affect things, can't it?] Have you seen those leaders yourself before?

[that’s a really fucking loaded question that he doesn’t feel like getting into, but also, he gets the feeling people will trust the friendly clown man over the sarcastic cunning guy when there aren’t any structural forces present to make him seem more legitimate than said friendly clown man.]

...what are they like? Does it...really seem like they're the main cause of all the conflicts?

Oh, he is absolutely the sort of person to start as many conflicts as he can. A true unambiguously evil mastermind with no regard for anything but his own ambitions.

[That gets her tail to curl around her legs somewhat nervously.] I admit, I don't like that term, "unambiguously evil." But if he's really causing so much devastation, it doesn't really matter, does it? He has to be stopped before he can do more damage...

Well, perhaps evil is relative.

[no it isn't all the goodness was yeeted out of him and became his own person. but jasper doesn't know that.]

He is certainly the cruel and merciless sort, though, and that is the standard people generally go with.

[She nods.] Yes...truly evil or not, that's the kind of person who needs to be stopped before he can cause more harm.
