Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

[Distracted by his own thoughts as he was, it took Zero a moment to realize what she was talking about.]

Oh...you mean the paper crane? It's actually fairly simple.

...That's what it's called?

[...Well, Plumeria is going to take a seat somewhere nearby, just kind of transfixed by the little bird, but...]

It's intriguing. I'd like to see how you do it.

[Zero seemed to consider the idea for a moment before taking a few pages out of the back of the notebook, setting them on the table before slowly folding one into another crane, step by step as clearly as he could.]

[Plumeria watches intently; it is something that she wants to see and try to do for herself, and there's a surprisingly determined look on her face, and by the time Zero is done, Plumeria will go to grab a piece of paper and attempt to mimic it...

It's a careful process, and...let's be honest, Plumeria's first attempt comes out a little floppy looking. It's mostly a bit of overshooting the folds and going back, but it's complete, at least!]

I...think I have it. [Even if it is a little sad looking, though, Plumeria picks it up.] It really is kind of precious.

It was taught to me by someone not very long ago. Mine never do turn out as well, I regret to say. Yours is good for an initial attempt.

[Plumeria just kind of looks back and forth from the crane on Zero's side to her own crane, openly fucking perplexed.]

...What is your friend doing, then, that's so different? Are they making an actual, live crane out of paper or something like that?

[Oh my god. Admittedly Plumeria would not know the difference (outside of Zero's being obviously better), but she can't help but shake her head.]

...Even so, thank you never the less. You're certainly a talented human.
