Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

[ On one of his walks throughout the entire ship, he's of course, paying attention once Zaveid opened his mouth. He approached merely to observe him closely, really.

[It's bizarre having so many people not be familiar, honestly.]

I'm a wind malak. Not really much use here in the pool, but it's creepy not having the ability.

[ Again, he encountered the term 'magic'. It's an interesting thing, really, that such things seemed to be existence but not conditional on the presence of a Stand. ]

I've never heard of a wind malak before. But I assume that simply means you're able to use wind magic, among other things.

So, am I right to also assume this is the first situation in which you'd have been unable to use your ability?

Something like that, yeah. Guess it's not important; nobody but me seems to know what it means.

Yeah. It's more or less impossible to take something like that from me. It is me. It's disturbing, to be honest.

It is. Especially since it seems that you're not the only one who's had a power that's supposed to be essentially 'yourself' or 'part' of yourself taken away.

[ ...It's a very strange experience, and not one he's enjoying. ]

You're right to assume. Everyone seems to be in the same position, so there's no need to conceal it.

Though to manage something like this must mean whatever they're using must be in constant effect at all times, whether it's a supernatural ability or an item capable of diffusing other people's powers.

Agreed.

It's got to be something powerful, especially given how I'm sure our powers do have their differences.

Though you've informed me you have never been deprived of your powers, I have to ask out of curiosity if there's something where you're from that'd be capable of anything like this.

No.

My body is the source of it, you could say. When a malak passes on, he or she becomes one with the elements again.
