Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

Oh! Maybe we should throw something bigger into the water, then? Like one of those vending machine things?

[Like, he'd probably start with an attempt on Davy Jones or the Captain, were he inclined to begin with murder at all.]

I mean, it's the only thing really keeping us from leaving the boat, right? Even if something happened to our lovely captors, we'd be probably stuck with that thing still around, right?

I think we would stand a better chance of making it back to shore if we took control of the boat.

[Rather than like. Trying to swim?]

True, but we don't know how the thing is being controlled, if at all, either. If it's something that isn't easily broken, like a pact with a demon or something, then what stops it from capsizing the boat the instant things go south?

Judging from my estimate of the current era and level of technology, it is most likely being controlled by a computer-aided guidance system.

Really? You think that it’s being controlled by some kind of device? I wonder if it’s anything like Hypnos… [ That gets her to pocket the cookies, at least. Congrats, Data, you saved the ocean! ] So if we’re able to find whatever device you’re talking about, I - we might be able to take care of it that way?

We should be able to take control, if we can reach the bridge.

From there, we could approach shore and try to find assistance.

[ She sort of checked out at the mentioning of reaching shore, but she nods anyway. ]

Well, hopefully there’ll be some sort of opening that we can take sooner rather than later. I’d prefer your theories to be right over mine, but I guess there’s only way to find out~!
