WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

You need to relinquish that sword immediately.
no subject
Oh? And why is that?
[He twirls the sword around on its point.]
Dunno if you noticed, mate, but this thing's probably, like, a hundred percent cursed.
no subject
Yes, it is cursed. To borrow your terminology, it is considerably more than "one hundred percent" cursed at current time. That sword was constructed from the pieces of Durin, a corrupted dragon that tarnished any organism it came in contact with.
To individuals born of flesh and bone, the innate corruption in that sword will drive them to insanity and death in a rapid manner. I had entrusted that sword to someone I was assured could purify it's corrupting effects but...
Return it to me. [ Extending his hand. ]
no subject
[Constantine's eyebrows quirk upwards. Now that's an interesting piece of information. He doesn't treat the sword any better, though, continuing to twirl it casually in his hand.]
So, if it's so inherently corrupting and evil and all that, how'd a bloke like you come across this sword in the first place?
no subject
I am the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius—that sword was confiscated from a group of bandits who were attempting to smuggle various stolen goods. Before it was...awakened, it resembled more scrap than a viable blade. In it's current state it poses a danger to anyone who has it in their possession for more than a short period of time.
Therefore, you should return it to me.
no subject
Chief Alchemist, huh? Wouldn't that mean that placing it in your possession would result in you becoming mad? S'not like you have the magic to remove that corruption right now.
[A shrug. He picks the blade off the ground and places it on the table for Albedo to take.]
Whatever. Be my guest. Maybe we ought to play hot potato or something.
no subject
It all changes subtly when Constantine relinquishes the sword; there's no change in his expression but Albedo can apparently move fast when he wants to, and he flourishes the blade with an expertise that is clearly more than casual. ]
Yes, that is my title. [ Offhandedly as he examins the bright purple blade, but he refocuses soon enough. ]
There is no need to trade back and forth. I am immune to the curse of this blade, magic or not.
no subject
Well, that's bloody convenient, init?
[He's joking, of course, but....]
If anyone gets stabbed to death with a sword, at least we'll know who it was.
no subject
[ He does seem to get the implication. But even then: ]
Lacerations are a more probable injury with this blade than piercings. [ This is being helpful, right? ]
no subject
Great! Good to know.
[A pause.]
You do know that most magic items don't seem to work here, right? That curse might've accidentally been lifted in the process while Captain was smuggling it on board.
no subject
Putting aside whether the curse is active or not, it may reactivate in the future. Moving a step further and assuming it doesn't, are you suggesting there is a safer individual or place to house this blade?
no subject
I dunno. Maybe chucking it into the ocean might be a safer bet, given that this is the middle of the goddamn Bermuda Triangle. Two out of three chance the squiddy will eat it and get rid of it for good.
no subject
[ Completely seriously because the concept of the Bermuda Triangle is a new idea and while squids might exist in Genshin, he doesn't really make the connection here. ]
