Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

[This really is such a wonderful little party, despite Plumeria's reservations. The work that everyone's put into making it a good time is all too clear, between everything set out by Lady Freyja and Filbo, and Sylvando's performance...Plumeria can't help but feel a little strange about all of this, but she's at least having what constitutes a 'good time', by the standards of this boat.

Of course, Plumeria is going to go and see Lady Freyja at some point while she's around and not busy, bowing her head respectfully.]

Lady Freyja, you've outdone yourself. All of you have, really; this party is such a wonderful success. Everyone here seems to be truly pleased.

[It's strangely nice? That's probably the best way to put it. But credit where it's due, and all.]

[...Oh no, Plumeria is actually having something akin to fun.

It takes Freyja a moment to sort out what to do with her face; she seems pleased, however.]

It pleases me that you could attend, and likewise that our efforts were not in vain. Are you enjoying yourself?

[Right, it really is a rare occasion. Still, Lady Freyja's expression gets a bit of a small smile from Plumeria. Still a little awkward, but no less genuine, even as one of her fingers goes to take one of the thorny vines of her hair and twiddle it.]

I am, yes. [She's actually kind of shocked that she is? But she figures she shouldn't voice that. Still, it's hard to deny she's pleased.] It's so nice here? Between the work you two put into this and Sylvando's...well, simply stunning performance, it doesn't seem like anyone here has a care in the world.

It's...really kind of nice, honestly.

Good. That's what I like to hear.

[She does seem pleased with all of it...]

It seemed as though everyone could use the distraction from the circumstances, if only for a while.

It certainly does; I imagine that some of them were starting to practically climb on the walls...

[There's certainly more she could say to that, but...well, it's supposed to be a party. Having a little fun is paramount, and not focusing on if this'll keep the others from acting for a while longer and their potentially dismal future seems prudent.

Plumeria looks to the mocktails with a bit more of a smile, tipping her head.]

Do you have any recommendations on these drinks, Lady Freyja? I know you've been hard at work making them, and I am curious to try a few...

[She considers for a moment before reaching out to obtain one from the table; it's a deep red color, and it doesn't seem to be as heavily carbonated as some of the others; it's also got a scent to it that's balanced, but slightly more bitter than brain-numbingly sweet.]

You might like this one, I think.

[Ohhh. Plumeria looks at the drink for a moment with intrigue, smile widening just a bit. Deep red is a nice choice, honestly, just on an aesthetic level? And then she takes a drink, and...]

Oh. This is lovely, Lady Freyja.

[It really does hit a lot more nicely than some sort of overtly sweet nonsense. Plumeria looks pleased!]

What did you make this one with? It taste's wonderful.

[It's pretty easy, all things considered.]

All of it is in the bar, and doesn't seem to be in short supply.

[Plumeria is gladly gonna take another sip, but she nods her head...well, a little enthusiastically. If she can learn to make more stuff like this then hell yes tbh.]

I'd love to. It seems like there's an awful lot that can be learned, and I would love to see how to do so.

[It feels like there should be something else, but she isn't certain what; anything more would likely be awkward. But it's...been a while since she's just spent time with Plumeria like she has here, hasn't it?

It feels odd. Not bad. Just odd.]

[...Man, it really has been so long since they've had the chance to do something so frivolous, isn't it? Not that Plumeria is trying to let herself get too distracted by the thought, but it is nice, really.

Strange that such a situation could bring them together like this, but Plumeria certainly isn't going to complain. But either way, once they hit the bar, Plumeria is practically teeming to learn, so!]
