Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

I did too. I also got this strange book that belongs to Lorna's relative. It was...really weird.

So I guess there's stuff that belongs to us. The Captain wasn't satisfied with taking us, he stole from us and our families.

Exactly. I guess it's up to luck what you get. You should ask everyone about what they got, just in case.

[Filbo for one can't think of something of his other people would have, so he hasn't asked anybody]

Then she's here, she has to be! I was in for a sync test while they still could, and then I was here, so...

She? You think there's a person inside that vending machine?

No. Yes. Sort of. It... The Mimic I use to control my Strain isn't like others.

[Those words are incredibly confusing. Filbo has to stand there, blinking until he smiles, a bit awkward]

W-Well, if you tell me what this Mimic looks like I could keep an eye out for her!

A Mimic is an elongated machine about the size of a human head, but mine is set inside a large doll. One that looks like a real child. She'll stand out.

That does sound pretty distinctive. I haven't gotten anything like that yet, but if for some reason the machine gives it to me, I'll make sure to give it back to you!

I dunno if there's anything of mine in the machine, but I guess if you ever get anything you think may be mine I can take a look. Not that I can think of something I'd miss, other than what I already have.
