WEEK 1

Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY

[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

It seems remiss not to. Being naively optimistic about the situation will do no one any favors, but I find whatever may transpire here to be far from a foregone conclusion.

Quite. It's inevitable that someone will strike, but I'll be the last to believe that our supposed Captain will emerge victorious.

Likewise.

Honestly, for the time being my primary concern is with staving off the initial bloodshed for as long as we can. It's going to be incredibly difficult to get it to stop once it starts.

That it will. I've never been one for organization of such...leisure activities myself, but ultimately events such as this or little distractions will assist in holding off the desire to kill someone for at least a week or two.

Though, that in of itself may be a generous estimate due to how capricious human nature can be.

[ And other factors. Really, him engaging in this topic at a party of all places was probably not the greatest of things. But he's never been a big socializer at parties or a fan of superfluous smalltalk. ]

[For what it's worth, she doesn't seem to mind the conversation.]

I've been bearing that in mind, regarding the humans... We also can't count out the notion that the Captain will become bored and try to encourage some sort of action. There's nothing preventing him from doing so, after all, and he's human himself.

...Yes, it is a possibility, especially in the event there is a lull in anybody being killed. And whether that failure of a mass murder attempt was staged or not, he seemed rather eager to see bloodshed occur among us. That in of itself would indicate a lack of patience in seeing it done.

Certainly. I'm more willing to believe it was staged than to think otherwise, however, simply because that set of rules he dreamed up seems rather prepared.

The mass murder incident seemed more like spectacle than a legitimate attempt. The task he set us to seems a bit more genuine in purpose.
