Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...

The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

[Aria follows behind Nira as she enters the library, before blinking a bit at seeing Rose lying on the ground.]

now, that thing...she knows most Earth animals. She's been on Earth long enough, after all. But humans keep breeding new things, so there's a solid chance it's just some kind of weird dog.]

What kind of animal is that?

She's a Pokemon, actually. An Absol, to be more specific. They're one of the main species in my world, aside from humans. And it's still so weird to think that no one else knows what they are!

We actually met the first day here already! He's from a different Region, but it's still nice to have someone else who knows what Pokemon are. And he's very nice to Aria, which is another plus in his favor.

Oh, that's definitely true. [They can commiserate about how fucking weird everything else here is.]

Ab-sol. [Aria approaches a bit closer, head extended curiously to sniff at Rose. Nira follows after.]

She doesn't mind being pet, if you're careful about it. Don't touch the blade, though.

Is it very sharp?

[But she reaches out to pet the normal fur part.]

It is. But it's also sensitive if you touch it the wrong way. [It's not a handle or a lever, don't tug it like one. But Aria enjoys the pets well enough. Not as much as Piers, of course, since he's the one with the best knowledge on how to handle Dark-types, but well-enough. Rose has nice hands, at least.]

What nice fur! I love animals - Pokemon is probably just another name for animal, right?

Not quite, I believe. I've studied the "animals" in those encyclopedias, and almost none of them resemble the Pokemon I know. It must have something to do with us being from different worlds, or the like.

Animals are always different on different planets.

[She figures the creatures she's seen before, from other places, kinda still counted.]

They're all organic, anyway.

I'm not sure if all Pokemon count as that. Some Ghost and Psychic-types probably don't. [Rotom: literally made of electricity.]

Really? What are they made of?

I think the technical term is ectoplasm? Though sometimes they also seem a lot like gasses. And they can pass through solid walls, even when the space is totally airtight.

That's incredible! I've never heard of anything like that!

Well, now you have! Though I don't have any on my team, so even if I had all of them here I couldn't show you what they're like personally. Jake has a Chandelure, though. If there's some way for us to travel between worlds I'm sure he'd be happy to introduce you.

My husband! We've been married for twenty-so years by now, with seven kids.

They are, aren't they? They're all so different from each other. Though I guess Cinder doesn't really count as a "child" anymore, since he's 18 now. [He's still her precious boy, though.]

Legally, yeah. Though he's still living with us for now, helping look after his younger siblings and the like.
