WEEK 1
Well, you've now met the brains of the operation, as well as the shockingly nice-looking young lady in charge of day-to-day business. Now all that's left is to get used to your accommodations - there's 24 other people in similar shoes to yours to meet in this building, you know! And who knows how much longer you might have them...
The daily routine in the facility quickly becomes obvious - the only way to tell time moment to moment is to check the strange device The Professor gave you, but at the same time every day the lights in and out of the facility go up, and at the same time every night they go down. Otherwise, it's almost maddening sometimes, how little happens in here. At least you have a few rooms with enough to hopefully keep you occupied. Who knows what secrets they might hold? And there's always that vending machine, if you can find something that fits in the coin slot...

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Peace Week! Enjoy it while it lasts. Remember, office hours for The Professor's Assistant are over here if you're interested, while regains can be deposited over here! ]

[She says that as if she was talking about a time she missed a bus, like it was nothing but a minor inconvenience]
Not a very impressive death. It was my bad, I was careless even though I was in a public place.
no subject
[He shrugs, though.]
That sort of thing's messy; no one's really impressive about it when they die, no matter how they go out. Sorry it happened to you.

[She gets a bit grim for a moment, muttering:]
It's like death can't make up its mind!
[Which is...not really a fun thing to be thinking about, now that she realizes it. Still, she would rather not die again if she can help it]
Oh...oh no! [She gasps, horrified] Were you hurt? What could be so important and corrupt someone would want to do that?
no subject
[So yeah.]
It's probably a weird sentiment to voice out loud, but hopefully death keeps on being indecisive with you. I'd rather we not start losing people, you know?
no subject
[Shelley says all that quietly. Usually she sounds so sunny, almost carefree, but for once she is totally serious. Her expression even is a bit hard to read, until finally she shrugs, apparently having made her mind about something]
At least you had someone to rely on! And now everything is fine, right? No more mystery assassins nor corrupt people trying to order hits?
[Because really, that'd be a horrible working environment!]
Aw, look at you! How caring! Don't worry, even if I die down here I'm going to be so disappointed in myself, so you can count on that I won't let it happen!
no subject
Good. I like talking to you, so it'd be a shame to cut that short - I get the feeling you've got a lot of stories worth listening to.
no subject
[She seems so flattered]
But it's got to be give and take, Dr. Birkin. It'd be great to find out more about you and your life! You seem interesting to me!
no subject
But if you want to hear about stuff, then sure. I'm not opposed.
no subject
[Which is impressive on its own right, really. Shelley sits on her tombstone, comfortable for listening]
no subject
[...You know, before he was fourteen.]
I'm pretty big on trying to make the world a better place. It seemed like it had potential worth pursuing.
no subject
[Change the world for better...or for worse. Knowledge is power!]
no subject
Obviously, I'm not here to try to end the world, so I stay out of whatever they're doing and stick to trying to find ways to save people.
no subject
[She conveniently doesn't mention it was created with her genetic material and afterwards she was, well, an accomplice in everything, even though Shelley did it unwittingly. She's not proud of that]
Have you done any big work? Saved many lives so far?
no subject
I've just had a major project of mine come to completion lately. My life's work, if you will. So while it isn't up for distribution yet, I'm looking forward to it.
no subject
[That's got to the the greatest honor a doctor can get, she thinks]
