...I do strongly hate to mention the fact that someone ate them [and that certainly seems to be true, she definitely looks like she hates this] but there were scraps of white fabric next to Sara's body. They didn't come from Sara herself; they're a bit coarse in nature and had blood on them, but nothing distinctive? The blood could have easily been on the fabric due to the nature of where they were.

I wouldn't say it's impossible, but Sara had a knife; perhaps she managed to strike whomever was attacking her.

That would be reasonable to think but would anyone be foolish enough to wear the same clothes into the trial if they had a slash in them? I wouldn't rule it out but we probably should look into other things first if it did come from the culprit.
