WEEK 5
That's three murders now - and this last trial got more than slightly out of hand. It looks like you might be in for another tough week... or at least, maybe that's just the refusal of this place to change too much. You lose Saturday again, but maybe six-day weeks are starting to feel normal by now. Who knows? The cycle of day and night continues apace, changing so little.
Speaking of change, though, there's a new area to look through, the biggest and most complex yet. And the end of one wing of the facility, from the looks of it - though you can probably guess where more areas might start to open up.
And speaking of opening up (segues!), this week if you're out particularly late, you might sometimes see Angel out and about! So hey, maybe change is on the horizon.
Just gotta hope it's a change for the better, don't you?

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to Week 5! Remember to turn in AC here, threads for regain coins here, and if you feel so inclined you can visit Angel's office hours over here! Or, if you want Angel to come to you, that's now an option! Simply put a prompt after lights-out into your toplevel and indicate you want Angel in the subject line, same as investigations! ]

investigation!
I hate to say it, but they're beautiful...
[ She starts over by the flowers and trees, and works her way around clockwise, just checking to see if there's anything out of place around here as she explores (though, she certainly wouldn't mind if there isn't).
After she's done in there, the arcade is actually her main haunt for the rest of the evening. She's got a non-alcoholic drink in her hand, and she's spending more than a bit of time hanging out near...more retro games, interestingly enough! She's a big fan of the way that the rolling ball feels in her palm as she moves around in Centipede, and no one can really resist the allure of Ms. Pac Man for too long. Of course, her game of choice is Tetris, and she spends quite a while near that one trying to get the high score... ]
garden;
A breath of fresh air in a place like this, isn't it?

[ So it's a tactile thing..? ]
I've missed doing a little bit of investigation outside...this is really the next best thing.

[ He'll be lingering in here for awhile. ]
I never thought I'd have taken for granted being outdoors. But, I had.
[ Even after being in a coffin for so long, he had gotten used to moving around in the outside world when people had come to wake him up. ]

[ If Ema minds the lingering, it absolutely doesn't show on her face. Company is always good to have. ]
I can see myself in this room pretty often, y'know? It's almost a shame we have that rule against taking naps...

[ He could think of how many people might also enjoy the fact that they have this little piece of heaven here. If it could still be called that due to its association with the Professor... ]
I suspect that was put in place to stop us from taking advantage of an actual nice place to sleep besides our rooms.
arcade
I don't suppose there's any secret exposed by hitting some score or other.

[ Though she can't help but be curious who actually has the high score on this thing...and, more importantly, whether she can beat it. ]
Tetris is good for the mind, scientifically speaking. It's proven that it thickens the cortex, and it helps with spatial reasoning...a pretty good skill to have, in my line of work.
[ It helps that it's fun. ]
With any skill, you practice enough times, and your brain starts to try optimizing it. And when aspects of your daily life align with the skill you're optimizing, you become more efficient.

investigation!
Not that there's nothing in here, of course, but it might require some more, um. Digging, if you'll pardon the word choice. ]

Of course, you could always just turn on the birdsong and relax, too... ]

[Rose has her weird bowl of grass and also a hollyhock flower with her, and she's searching around for somewhere to plant them.]

[ We'll just have to avoid the, er. Poison. ]

Well, I think it might do some good.

In the reflection from her screen, she can see Therion behind her, and she laughs a bit to catch a glimpse of him. She'd recognize that silhouette anywhere. ]
Can't disappoint my audience, now, can I...
[ She gets a touch more...fancy, as the pieces keep dropping. Something about having a pair of eyes on you makes you want to showboat. ]

Don't let me distract you. My business can wait.

[ Even with her more risky approach to her stack, she seems to have plenty of control over the board as she talks over her shoulder. ]
Make a full line with no gaps in it, and the blocks in it go away. Hit the top of the screen, and you lose. "Game Over". But you get more points for clearing more lines at once, and the order isn't as random as it looks.
[ She's definitely not sloppy. But she's getting a little close to the top... ]
