WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

[She just kind of stares. Okay??]

[There's an amused intonation on the word -- it's not mocking, but it is a little bit goading, because Allenby takes note of these things, and moreover it's at least three times cheekier for being directed at someone ostensibly her own age. That is, if the profiles are even reliable.
Nothing like a live experiment, though. She cocks her head and waits.]
I'll let you have the first move, even.

[She frowns and looks her over, but still walks up anyway.]
Fine. Though I don't know why.
[And with that, Sara concentrates, steps forward, and tries to replicate one of the kicks Allenby had been doing by herself earlier.]

[She perks up once Sara starts making her way over, lowers her center of gravity and starts bouncing on the balls of her feet -- maybe she can judge by demeanor that they're both people of action, maybe she's just excited.
At any rate, since her opponent is experimenting, it's easy for Allenby to dance out of the way, barely a movement.]
Nice! Just tryin' to keep myself in top form, you know? I was in the middle of a whole dang tournament before I wound up here.

[Unfortunately for Allenby, the only combat Sara knows is in a Strain, and sitting in a cockpit moving hand controls is not exactly analogous to Mobile Trace System experience. She barely lands back on her feet, turning as she lands, and quickly follows up attempting to strike out with her arm with the momentum.]

[There's a peculiar emphasis she puts on it, somewhere in between matter-of-fact and a simmering anticipation. A fact of life with a little silver lining to it, like you might talk about adding a little razzle-dazzle to your commute or a bit of spice to your sandwich.
Speaking of spice, there's a laugh and she moves lightly, easily in another dodge, spinning in her turn while she's down low to try and sweep Sara's legs out from under her.]

She has to avoid getting hit. That's natural in her fast, fragile Strain, but if she can do it here is another matter.]
no subject
Allenby laughs coming up from her sweep, evidently pleased with herself, and then has to contend with her opponent suddenly launching herself bodily into a punch. Interesting -- using their momentum against each other.
She can more or less dodge the main impact of the punch, even if it scuffs her, but they're in close enough quarters that there's no room to follow up -- instead she scoots back to open a little distance.]
Not bad, not bad.

And Gundam Fighters normally train like this?
no subject
Them's the breaks of giving her a breather.]
Oh, this is nothing. I'm actually feeling a little more sluggish than usual, but it's been a while since I really went at it on the sea. Better to shake off the rust.
[Than what? There's a myriad of things dancing beneath the feet of her fighting stance, though there's no pause in the flurry of hits.]
no subject
I've heard of keeping in shape to pilot --
[She ducks and quickly punches upward.]
-- but not like this!
