WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

Hey, mate, y'know what I just realized?
[A grin with absolutely no good intentions behind it spreads across his face.]
There isn't a rule against destroying property.
no subject
I did think that was a particularly silly oversight... I wonder just what will happen if we test our our little theory regarding these machines, hmm?
no subject
[He puts up another finger.]
Two--hypothesis. Personally, I think he'll chuck it over the side of the ship when we aren't looking.
And third--procedure. [A pause. He gestures grandly towards the vending machine.] Care to do the honors, mate?
no subject
Well, I would love to, but unfortunately I'm lacking a weapon! Perhaps you should take the lead on this one?
no subject
[Constantine takes a few steps back and evaluates the vending machine. He's not particularly strong, and at the very least, punching through it would certainly result in bruised knuckles. At the most, broken bones and intense bleeding.
So, he opts for a different route. He plants his back foot against the ground and smashes his heel against the glass. It takes a few tries before it begins to crack and the internal lights flicker. With a final kick, the glass shatters, cascading upon the ground and causing John to stagger off-balance.
With a grin, he looks back towards Yeager.]
Now what?
no subject
Perhaps we should wait to see if anything happens? Though I don't know if anyone would swing by to handle it while we're here watching...
no subject
S'not like I've got anything else to do.
[And he wanders out of the room, waiting in the doorframe for Yeager to follow. Once he catches up--]
How long d'you think we ought to wait?
no subject
If we wait until tomorrow, it will surely be taken care of, so perhaps we should give it just a little while and check in on it every so often?
no subject
Let's give it five, maybe ten minutes.
[And with that, he closes the door. He waits, head tilted to the side and listening for any sort of noise coming from the vending machine room.]
You hear anything?
no subject
[Surely things couldn't be handled that quickly... But given that we have no idea how any of this works and it may actually be ghosts, better to start with smaller increments of time.
Of course, Yeager's listening carefully as well on the other side, but he shakes his head at the question.]
No, nothing. It's very quiet in there.
[Well apart from standard Vending Machine Noises from the working ones.]
no subject
What--
[He throws the door open a little further open. The glass has been swept up and cleaned.]
--goddamn already?
no subject
That's certainly unexpected.
[Okay, so it's magic. Definitely magic.]
I'm quite impressed with the speed... Does it seem to be a good repair job, though?
no subject
Looks like they might've just replaced it entirely. [He frowns.] Bloody hell.
no subject
[Hang on, let him get a look... Oh wow, yeah that definitely does seem different.]
That is impressive. Entirely unexplained, but certainly impressive!
