Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

[Constantine's not usually in the market for mocktails, but for tonight, he's sipping on a virgin piña colada to tide himself over. It does absolutely nothing for him except remind him of the dearth of alcohol aboard the ship.

The detective wrinkles his nose at the scent of...whatever perfume (or....body spray???) that Decus is wearing.]

Jesus, didja go roll around on the floor of a perfume factory or something?

Really? Interesting... it's got a completely different vibe from any of the temples I've been to.

[ Maybe this Shirley is some kind of summon spirit of love or something in another world...? ]

[ But then-! He straightens up instantly, flashing a winning smile. ]

Oh, you noticed? This is Eau de Seduction [ crossing his arms over his chest in an imaginary embrace ], the sexiest cologne they make [ raising one hand up in the air as if thanking god for this gift ], formulated to drive both men and women alike out of their senses!

[ And then bringing that hand back down and extending it in front of him momentarily... only to then dramatically withdraw it and cover his face as he turns away. ]

Constantine doesn't even know where to start with this guy. He drags a hand down his increasingly exhausted face as he tries to formulate a response.]

The only thing on my mind right now is pushing you into the bloody ocean. Maybe then I could scrub this smell from my nostrils.

Also, it's named after a child actress, not an actual temple. Explains why it's so sickly sweet.

That would make it easier, huh?

But once you've smelled an unforgettable aroma like this, it's with you forever.

Anyway, back to the drink part... so her last name was Temple? Hm. That seems confusing, but okay. Is that a common naming theme for drinks here? ]

Huh... all right. Is the whole thing cherry flavored, or is that just the garnish?

It's ginger ale and grenadine--so, pomegranate and ginger, I guess. Why don't you just take a sip and see if it suits you, hm?

[Constantine takes another long sip of his own drink. Why all the virgin drink options so sweet?]

[ He's not sure he's ever even heard of that. It's a fruit or something and not a rock, right??

He takes a sip... and looks fairly pleased by it. ]

Mm. Yeah, that's pretty good! Less ginger taste than I expected, but it might work!
