WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

Investigation --- Library | Monday Top-Levels
But Filbo isn't too worried. For some reason he doesn't feel like he'd be a target for anyone. True, he's not too great but nobody hates him yet! And hopefully nobody ever will, but he knows it's not impossible there'll be someone with a bone to pick with him for pretty much no reason. He has experienced that before, after all.
This all simply means he can spend all his time worrying for everyone else instead of himself. What if...someone is killed? It could--It could happen. He knows that]
There's a long day ahead of us, roomie! Time for me to get started with work!
[He said that to Jasper before leaving the room he and Jasper shared. Filbo didn't wait to see if Jasper had heard him or if he even cared. There were far more important things to think about.
Library
Well, plans changed: the day before he had said to Freyja finding where the ship was going would be a good starting point. There now was an answer to that: to nowhere unless murder happened. In that case, perhaps...something about their location could help? Like, how close they were to the coast, or something like nautical charts with a route in it? Filbo didn't have the slightest idea how to read nautical charts, but he'd cross that bridge once he got there.
There's Filbo, rooting through the books, looking for those that weren't fiction. Every book that wasn't of any use was left aside on the floor, messy stacks of them piled against the wall. A couple of books about oceans were wide open, showing blue graphics about nautical routes.
--------
Investigation: Library: --- anything worthwhile to be found in the library shelves or in the nonfiction books?
------
Still, Filbo comments to anyone who comes close to see what he's doing:]
Why are there so many romance books? I don't hate the genre, but it's a strange choice, don't you think? Unless...does the Captain want you all to hook up?
[Using the books as inspiration and what not. Have ships while on this cruise ship, everyone! Hah!
Once the library books were checked, Filbo visited the vending machines. Oh, so much free stuff! He already has taken a lot of office supplies and many cans of soda, leavin everything to a side of the room while he keeps checking the machines]
It's all for free! Well, I suppose that was to be expected, we don't have money. [Filbo knocked on the only vending machine that wasn't free] But what's in this one? If it needs money we don't have then it must be important. It can't be it has more sodas inside, right?
[Or maybe it does, who knows]
vending machines
...do you need all that pop and pencils?
[Nailed it.]
no subject
[And that includes taking that many pencils, in case he's done with one. After all, you never know when the vending machine will run out of pencils, nor if it'll stop being free.
Sure would be ironic if it stops being free because Filbo took so much of the pencil stock]
But if you need some you can take it. I may...have gone a bit overboard.

[Constantine glances towards Filbo. To his credit, he doesn't react at all to Filbo's appearance. He's a mayor, after all, and he's a very important person.]
Filbo, is it? Name's John Constantine. [He holds out a hand for Filbo to shake, a cheeky grin on his face.] Have to say, I've never dated any Muppets before, but there's a first for everything, isn't there?
[He's joking. He has to be.]
no subject
It's a far less refreshing change when Constantine hits on him. Any response Filbo had for the commentary about this being a reality show of some sort is forgotten, he even freezes right when he was about to shake paws with Constantine and say that no, he's not a muppet, he's a grumpus.
He has to be joking, he has to be. It sounded 100% as a joke. Filbo was about to laugh it off as some sort of zany introduction when a tiny, tiny doubt entered his already addled head: what if he's not joking? What if, for whatever bizarre and absurd reason, this human had seen a grumpus and thought he may as well try to score with him? Filbo knew nothing about humans, maybe this was something they did all the time. What a strange thought.
Uuuuuuuh...quick, Filbo, laugh it off and let him down gently. He tries to, although it comes more as nervous laughter than anything else]
Hahahahaha, right! Right, I mean, first times happen, it'd be--uh, but I mean, I'm flattered, but I'm--we don't--we don't even know each other, and--oh, grump, what I mean is that you--I---you---
[Welp, he got tongue-tied and he is still there extending a paw like a fool. So much for laughing it off and/or letting him down gently. Look what you have done, Constantine, you really are running in circles around him]
no subject
Don't get your knickers in a twist, mate, I was pulling your leg. Doubt anyone has time to pursue romantic endeavors during a shitshow like this.
[And thus, he grabs Filbo's paw and completes the handshake.]
A little birdie told me you're the mayor! Impressive. How'd you end up in a position like that?
no subject
Well, you never know for sure. I'm no romantic but I hear all the time love comes when you least expect it. I'm...pretty sure that's not how it's supposed to work, but if it's said then it must be for a reason.
[But yeah, Constantine is right: this ship and the mess they're going through is no place for romantic endeavors. Shipping during a murdergame, who has heard of something like that ever before]
I got elected. [Obviously, but that probably wasn't what Constantine meant] I just thought I should give it a try and I managed to pull people to my side. It's not the first time I'm trying to lead people, but this time it's an official role instead of...it being me because the one in charge wasn't around.
[You can't really say you're a mayor when nobody was taking you seriously in a town of twelve people. Now? Now he's a real, elected mayor in a big city, and people do like and respect him. It's different now]

A solution without bloodshed may not be possible, but still, that faint hope is still there]
Well, it can't be that, right? Because it'd make no sense to bring someone like me. I dunno if I should be saying this, but I guarantee I have no attraction towards anyone on this ship, so...I'd be dead weight for something like that.
[Then again, he's sure he'd be dead weight for many things. Interspecies dating is just one more for the list]
no subject
[Flamethrower disfunction aside, why bring together an unconnected group of people to kill? It's way too much effort for no obvious payoff.]
And hey, I'm way more romantic dead weight than you are.
no subject
[Because that one? That one seems kiiiiind of, well, deadly. What if nobody murders and Davy Jones goes to kill everyone here out of frustration? That's not impossible]
See? Then it means we're not here just to hook up with people. This isn't some sort of...weird murderous blind dating place.
Unless we two are meant to be wingmen.
[He wouldn't say no to doing that, but who wants dating advice from Filbo Fiddlepie?]

He doesn't stay long every time -- just long enough to get something into the room. A whole bunch of cans of soda, a small pile of pencils, and way more paper than he should deal with -- and he soon starts sticking some of it to the wall with tape. A whiteboard of sorts, it seems.
And every time, he says something different to Jasper]
'Sorry, sorry, I'll be out again soon'
'You want breakfast? I know it's buffet, but if you want me to save you something I can do it'
'There's soda if you want some. It's just to stay awake during the night if I have to, but if you want it it's there'
[Filbo probably was saying things aloud just because...well, it seemed like the decent thing to do when you were sharing a room with someone. He didn't really expect a response at any point]

...what is the tea situation, may I ask. There is tea, sugar, and lemons, is there not...?

[If you want hot tea, well, you're kind of out of luck there]
It's a bad tea situation.
