WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

Oh, it's you.
[ The following morning, having never changed clothes at any point during the night, she creeps out of her room and starts exploring the ship properly.
The convenient thing about being very small is that you don't have to stop too low to read the book titles on the lower shelves of the library. A less convenient thing is you need to either get a ladder to reach the top shelf, or you have to scale that shit like it's the face of a mountain! It's not a very fun reminder for someone who just spent a year furiously deprived of the ability to just fly around everywhere. Magica, in an incredible show of maturity and restraint, chooses to simply drag a chair around with her when needed. You're welcome, everyone.
Ultimately these efforts are a waste of time, because the closest thing this library has to a grimoire is probably an occult romance or a Fear Street superchiller, and she moves on to to examine the vending machines in no better a mood. It takes very little time for this to devolve into her aggressively punching in random numbers and then tossing the item that comes out aside with no further interest... at least until she makes it to that one vending machine. You know the one. There, she stops in her tracks. ]
Huh, [ she says to nobody, crossing her arms, and then looks around to check for a second opinion. ] You there, what do you make of this?
[ Vaguely around lunchtime, she shows up at the buffet and loads her plate with calamari and nothing else — which is a pretty bold move even without the first mate taken into consideration, but it seems to make her happy. She just sits there in silence and pops some fried tentacles into her mouth ever so often, making sure she chews with an ominous crunch noise each and every time. On occasion, she glares at the ceiling. ]
Vending Machines
[He gives an exploratory knock on the machine's opaque gray face.]
Little pointless when none of us have cash, don't you think?

Is he going to notice?
[Or are you just being PA for no reason, ma'am.]

Then she swallows. And then she says: ]
I don't care.
no subject
[Okay, sure. She studies the food with a frown.]
There doesn't seem to be much else to do.

Vending Machines
[Well, what do you want him to say, really? It's a complete mystery, you need money, and you probably shouldn't tip it over because you risk getting crushed by it. It's a straightforward as it gets.
...well, there's one thing that perhaps comes to mind...]
...it probably isn't for us. We don't have any money, so that may be only for the Captain and Davy Jones. I dunno why they wouldn't have it in their cabin or something, but it could be theirs.
[Only explanation he can think as to why they can't do anything with that machine, really]
no subject
And yet here it is, in plain sight. So you think they're taunting us.
no subject
[The Captain doesn't give the best first impressions, and that's without the part about killing them all]

[He can't argue with that logic, it's sound. Then perhaps...]
Then what if he sends Davy Jones instead of coming himself? Davy Jones has nothing to fear. I mean, most wouldn't want to even be in the same room as him.

room 5
...Oh, joy of joys. This is about the last thing she needs right now, ugh. Plumeria rolls her eyes at Magica, but it's not as bad as it could be, she supposes. But still, this is less than ideal.]
Yeah, yeah, it's me. Don't get your feathers all ruffled. [Ugh, well this is already off to a fantastic start. Plumeria looks up, though, eyes narrowing.] Trust me, I'm not exactly any happier about this than you are.

[ Magica has the temerity, or the commitment to the bit, to sound surprised. She actually puts one hand on her chest. ]
Oh, no, I'm perfectly comfortable with having someone twice my size sleeping in the same room whilst we're all engaged in the most dangerous game, that's fine. I just thought we ought to establish some house rules right off the bat. Would you like a chore wheel?
no subject
Oh of course, pardon me, then. My mistake.
[But alright--]
If that's what you wish, then certainly. What exactly do you have in mind?
[this is going to be a mistake to ask, isn't it]

A simple, decisive division of assets. For example— [ She pats the covers she's sitting on demonstratively. ] This is mine. I also claim all proprietary rights to the surrounding walls.
[ she needs to keep her DAYS SINCE POSSESSING DARK MAGYCKS (AGAIN) tally somewhere... ]
... You can pick your desk, or whatever.
no subject
...Sure she kind of wanted to decorate the walls a little bit if she got something worth the while, but--]
As long as I have somewhere to sleep and somewhere to keep my things, as far as I'm concerned? You may do as you wish. I don't intend to make a habit of staying here for longer than needed.
[Things that went better than expected: this. Plumeria's just gonna take her seat on the bottom bunk, then.]
Just don't make it too garish in here, hm?
[...That's slightly wry.]
1/2
GARISH?!
[ rip plumeria you didn't deserve this ]
