Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?

There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!

Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

Oh! There did not seem to be as many of those as there were of other couples, so I am glad to hear it is good! When done, I shall let you know my thoughts.

[Listen, Dorothea and Petra were definitely making eyes at each other during the war, Flayn isn't blind, she knows what Lesbian is.]

I'll be glad to hear those thoughts of yours, then. [Adeline sits down close to Flayn with a book of her own, this one about a courageous mermaid princess and a curious human girl who ventures into the water to seek out the underwater kingdom.]

[Adeline's definitely grabbed a bunch of other monster romances. They're clearly the best romance subgenre.]

[A smile and a nod. Adeline is not skimming through the steamy scenes, so Flayn is probably going to finish faster than her.]

[She does set it down eventually, with a little happy sigh.] So, how was it? [She leans her cheek on her hand, her lips quirking up slightly in curiosity.

It's always nice when a book surprises you enjoyably, isn't it? [She passes over her mermaid romance to Flayn.] I could see how eager you were to get to this one.

[That gets another smile from Adeline. She stands up to go find a few more of her own cards, but circles back after a while once Flyan's done.] How was that one? I have to admit, I always find those kinds of stories more interesting than the ones with just humans...

[She's just been here riveted by an underwater romance, it's incredible.]

This one was - amazing, I...the description of the underwater kingdom was so rich, it felt as if I was truly there! And the plight of the couple pulls at one's heartstrings!

[Flayn wants a copy to bring back home!!!]

It really does, doesn't it? The author builds a whole world for them to inhabit, one you can feel is almost real.

[Flayn lets out a soft sigh of longing.]

If only such a place were real, I would love to go there myself.

I've gone deeper than most people can by themselves, but sadly I've never seen an underwater kingdom like that. [She gestures lightly at the gills on her neck.] Perhaps one day someone will found one, though. [There's a lot more amphibious people walking around now, after all.]

You have truly gone so deeply into the ocean?

I have, with some guidance. It is quite dark down there, after all, so I had Nemo to light the way.

What were you doing down there to begin with? Was there something you were looking for?

[oceangirlfriend]

Not precisely-it was more the simple desire to explore. I wanted to know more about just what was down there, and see it for myself without a wall in the way.

That is most incredible! I wish we could do that where I am from...

[She wants to be where the fish are!!! Let's Little Mermaid 2 this binch!]

Well, there are ways to do so without going through all the modifications I have, though in most cases you wouldn't be able to go as deep, or wouldn't be able to interact as readily with what you found.

That would be fine! Even a start into the depths would be exhilirating.

We could start you out with a trip on a submarine. You wouldn't need any special expertise for that, since someone would steer it while you simply watched.
