WEEK 1
Happy New Year! ... You're still here. Looks like The Captain wasn't lying when he said the murdering is now up to you. That, or you can all live here on your own. Regardless, it's time to settle in. The days start passing much less eventfully after that first one, and, well... on it goes, huh?
There might not be a whole cruise ship to explore just yet, but there are a variety of amenities available to all of you! Who ever heard of a boring cruise ship, anyway? As the week goes on, you might even start to see some of those strange coins appear for you!
Better buckle down and get to know your fellow passengers, though, if you want to stand a chance of weathering this storm.

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
FRIDAY | SATURDAY
[ ooc: Welcome to peace week! Feel free to mingle (and investigate, if you like) to your hearts' content! Please ensure all investigation toplevels are marked accordingly, and otherwise enjoy! If you wish to talk to The Captain or Davy Jones, look here for the former and here for the latter! ]

[For most of the time he was in the library, he was writing in a notebook from the vending machine--making pages of notes in varying states of organization. Every so often he'd pause to (probably, it was hard to tell) read one over again, then tear it out of the notebook in dissatisfaction. Most of them he'd crumple in annoyance like one ordinarily would with a discarded page, but once in a while he'd reconsider that, instead folding the unneeded notes into a paper crane.]
[True to his profile, they were well-constructed.]
Library
At first when she enters the library, she doesn't do anything that might bother Zero - no talking, no unnecessary sounds, just a quiet young lady perusing the bookshelves. But then it becomes apparent that any tome she might be looking for is possibly on a higher shelf than she can reach.]
Excuse me for a moment.
[Yes, she is taking a chair from the table you're sitting at and dragging it across the floor to the bookshelf to climb on it and have a better look. Yes it's a loud, low screech noise. You're welcome.]

[flayn are you]
[are you just gonna...]
[you know what he's just gonna let this shit play out]

If it isn't there, it must be here, mustn't it...?
[She says it moreso to herself, carefully looking through the titles on the spines, sometimes pausing to reread one or the other just to make sure she doesn't miss anything...]
-Aha!
[She grasps and hefts out...not an entirely huge book, but definitely an older-looking one that is tucked under one arm as she hops down from the chair and-
Yeah she's pulling the chair back to your table, bro.]
no subject
...Do you have to make that noise?
no subject
[Oh, oops, yeah that's. Loud, isn't it.]
I am sorry! I could try lifting the chair.
[She puts the book on the seat of the chair and looks at it for a moment before smartly grabbing it from underneath the seat and lifting it up...minimally. Enough so that when she slowly totters back to the table, it thankfully doesn't scrape against the floor. When she finally places it down, though, her arms are shaking slightly.]
That is - that is heavier than it looks...

Forget it. Don't overexert yourself, and just be a little more mindful next time of what you're doing.

...after it's happened a few times, he looks over his shoulder.]
Having some trouble, are you?
no subject
[He looked back in time to catch sight of the world's most frustratedly made paper crane.]
But I continue to be sidetracked attempting to make sense of it where sense is nowhere to be found.

[unfortunately, he had to admit that was a good point.]
What do you make of all this, yourself?
no subject
[hmmm... but, well...]
Regardless, I feel that a disproportionate amount of effort must have gone into ensuring our presence here for the Captain’s initial explanation to be true, unless it happened to be part of some bizarre sacrificial ritual. Given that he has a legendary figure as his first mate, though, that is not entirely out of the question.

...Huh. She does wind up staring for a few moments; origami isn't something Plumeria is familiar with, but hopefully you don't mind at least one curious onlooker.]
...How did you do that? [Plumeria is cautiously curious, just looking at the little crane. It's...cute...] I've never seen such a feat before...
no subject
[Distracted by his own thoughts as he was, it took Zero a moment to realize what she was talking about.]
Oh...you mean the paper crane? It's actually fairly simple.
no subject
[...Well, Plumeria is going to take a seat somewhere nearby, just kind of transfixed by the little bird, but...]
It's intriguing. I'd like to see how you do it.

It's a careful process, and...let's be honest, Plumeria's first attempt comes out a little floppy looking. It's mostly a bit of overshooting the folds and going back, but it's complete, at least!]
I...think I have it. [Even if it is a little sad looking, though, Plumeria picks it up.] It really is kind of precious.

[ Zero has probably seen Albedo around in the library before; it's one of his favorite haunts, though he's often too deep in his own notes or a book to really engage in company. ]
no subject
[whatever the fuck that means, zero.]
And it takes a moment longer to fold this than it does to simply toss a useless page aside.
no subject
Do you mind if I imitate your efforts?
no subject
[go for it, kid.]
no subject
...it does not work out all that well. ]
You are quite skilled.

[He started folding one again--in slower and easily followed motions.]
